General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, April 16 Recap – Nina Confesses to Sonny – Alexis Violent Enemy – Cyrus & Anna Dangerous Game

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, April 16, reveals that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) disapproved of Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) plan to move forward with stealing back Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) for Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

Trusting Cyrus to keep his word certainly didn’t work out well for Julian Jerome (William deVry).

Nikolas insisted he wasn’t Julian and that he could handle this. He had a man named Colonel Jackson and his security team on the case, so Ava wondered how much this was costing him. Money was no object since Nikolas was determined to protect Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

Ava was worried about Cyrus having a never-ending hold on Nikolas, but he felt that what Cyrus really wanted was love and acceptance. Family was important to Cyrus, so Nikolas felt Cyrus would come to him for help bridging the gap with Laura Collins (Genie Francis).

Meanwhile, Laura ran into Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) and found out Nikolas had promised to help him patch things up with his sister. Martin assured Laura that he never would’ve helped Julian if he’d had all the facts about the explosion.

Cyrus ultimately came along and stirred the pot again regarding Nikolas, so Laura made it clear he wouldn’t manipulate her son.

After Laura stormed off, Martin ranted about Cyrus coming around like an angel of death every time he started to make progress with Laura.

Over with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), they were concerned about Peter August (Wes Ramsey) potentially leaving town without offering the antidote. They needed to buy time, but that presented a problem.

Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) was eager to help Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) NOW and refused to listen to Anna’s warning about not escalating things. Anna warned someone innocent would die, but Carly wondered if this innocent person had a name.

Since Carly wasn’t given any good reasons not to act, she couldn’t make any promises. Anna argued that Peter wouldn’t be the only one with blood on his hands in that case. She wondered if Carly could live with that.

Later, Anna and Valentin wound up at the Port Charles Grill, where Anna decided to formally introduce herself at Cyrus’ table. There was a weird unspoken power struggle despite the phony smiles they plastered on.

Once Anna walked off with Valentin, Cyrus told Martin it was a matter of marking their territory. As for Anna, she told Valentin she had most definitely figured out her next move. It sounds like Cyrus and Anna could be playing a very dangerous game!

Laura made her way to Carly’s place and wondered what it would take for her to give up Florence peacefully. Carly felt like things had already been a lot more peaceful since Florence was snatched.

However, Laura warned it wouldn’t stay that way and felt they both knew it. Laura acknowledged the trouble Nikolas was about to stir up, so Laura wanted to nail down a strategy to stop it.

Back with Nikolas, he got a call about Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) ordering a hummingbird cake from the suspected bakery in Stowe, Vermont.

Nikolas was pleased about finding an address and had Colonel Jackson establish a perimeter with his men, but they weren’t allowed to make a move until he gave him the order.

At the garage, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) came back for the phone she left behind. Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) suggested last night shouldn’t have happened, but Sasha was glad that it did.

Sasha shut down what she assumed were concerns that she was on the rebound. Sasha felt this has been building with Brando for a while now.

Brando was impressed by Sasha’s knowledge of cars due to an old summer job. He wanted to keep getting to know Sasha and wiped some grease off her cheek ahead of her photoshoot.

Things nearly turned steamy again, but Brando figured he’d better go get her phone from the other room.

Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) popped up and was clearly not happy about Sasha’s presence in the garage. She was even less pleased when Brando returned with the phone and mentioned something about last night.

Gladys kept glaring in disapproval, so General Hospital spoilers say she could present a big hurdle to this new romance!

At The Tan-O on Friday’s GH episode, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) pointed out that “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) could probably find out who he was through social media.

Sonny wasn’t sure he wanted to since he liked his life in Nixon Falls. The pace suited “Mike,” who joked about the most exciting thing happening in town being the firehouse dance.

Nina brought up going to the Met Gala and how she had photos of herself with friends – all of them dressed to the nines with huge smiles. However, Nina admitted there wasn’t real happiness behind those smiles.

Sonny thought Nina seemed happy in Nixon Falls – and Nina thought “Mike” seemed happy there, too. Sonny wondered why they should go somewhere else to find happiness then.

Nina later confessed that she’d done something selfish that would hurt a lot of people, but Sonny didn’t believe it based on what he’d seen of Nina so far. Nevertheless, Nina insisted it was true – though she really believed she was doing the right thing and giving this person a fresh start.

Sonny didn’t think that sounded selfish, so Nina suggested that’s what she told herself – and sometimes she even believed it.

“Mike” asked Nina to go to the firehouse dance with him since they were both going anyway, so she admitted she’d love to – but she’d already agreed to go with Elijah Crowe (Dan White). Sonny got Nina to promise she’d save a dance for him.

At Pentonville, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) found herself on the bad side of a burly scowling inmate named Hilda, but Maggie (Sydney Walsh) steered Alexis away from trouble.

Alexis spilled her story about wanting to take responsibility and later ended up alone with Hilda. When Alexis mentioned the crazy weather, Hilda asked who she was calling crazy and attacked by shoving Alexis toward the wall.

General Hospital spoilers say Alexis has a long, hard road ahead of her in prison, but she’ll have to hang in there! CDL’s where you want to be for sizzling General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so be sure to pop back in soon.
