General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, April 30 Recap – Dev Bombshell for Josslyn – Shawn Surprises Alexis – Britt Flirts with Jason

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, April 30, reveals that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) took a call from Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), who spoke in code to let her know the plan for Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) escape was on.

Afterward, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) clarified that Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) was in trouble because of the threat Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) posed.

Ava explained how Cyrus gazed at Avery’s photo and talked about her looking like her late father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Carly assured Ava that she’d help protect Avery, but she had no interest in protecting Ava. However, Ava countered that she wasn’t there because she needed rescuing. She came to see Carly with an offer of help.

Carly wasn’t keen on the idea of teaming up with Ava, but Laura Colins (Genie Francis) felt it was a good idea.

After Carly relented, she this three-way alliance of Ava, Laura and Carly formed. Carly needed Ava to keep Cyrus busy tonight, so Ava called him up and suggested she’d been thinking about what he said earlier.

Ava invited Cyrus for a dinner at Wyndemere. She called it a “family affair” since Laura and Carly thought that would help seal the deal.

Ava assured Cyrus that both Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) and Laura would be there. Laura wasn’t pleased over Ava’s promise about her inclusion, but she had to roll with it.

Carly believed Ava truly wanted to protect Avery, but she warned Ava about double-crossing her. Ava promised Cyrus wouldn’t know what hit him.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) pestered Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) about all the new GH employees. Liz felt something strange was going on and brought up Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), so Britt thought it was time to talk about Liz’s status at General Hospital.

Britt pointed out that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) had Liz transferred and suggested Jason’s presence clearly seemed to be an issue for Liz. After Britt rambled about Liz’s behavior, she argued that if it continued – then her hands would be tied.

Britt suggested Liz came back too soon following Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) death and wanted her to take a leave of absence effective immediately.

Elizabeth protested since work had been the one thing helping her heal. Britt backed down, but she at least wanted Elizabeth to go home and take the rest of her current shift off.

Elsewhere on Friday’s General Hospital episode, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) stood by an overheated car with the check engine light on. Trina didn’t know what she was doing, but she’d called for help that’d be there within an hour. She was sorry since it meant Joss may not make it to her dad in time to drive him home.

Josslyn remained upset about the college situation and her issues with Cameron Webber (William Lipton). Joss felt those issues had only started because of Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) murder, but Trina hinted that maybe they went back further.

When pressed, Trina admitted this had something to do with Dev Cerci aka “Dev Corbin” (Ashton Arbab).

Trina hated to speak ill of the dead, but she acknowledged that Dev did something selfish and creepy. Josslyn learned her journal had gone missing because Dev stole it and showed some of it to Cameron.

Joss wondered why Cameron would be so upset about what he saw, but Trina felt she’d have to talk to Cam about it.

An auto repairman arrived to fix the car up, so Josslyn and Trina eventually decided to continue their road trip. At the Nixon Falls clinic, Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) talked to Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

Phyllis was worried about Jax manipulating Nina to get the reunion he wanted, but Jax assured Phyllis that he was willing to respect Nina’s wishes.

At The Tan-O, Nina told “Mike” aka Sonny about her plan to drive Jax home and then return to Nixon Falls. Sonny felt Nina was going to a lot of trouble and wondered if her friend was worth it considering the pain he’d caused Nina.

Elijah Crowe (Dan White) caught the tail end of their conversation and picked up on the word “trust,” so he gushed about how that was so important. Sonny quickly got into an argument with Elijah, which escalated after Nina left.

Phyllis returned to find Sonny and Elijah shouting at each other, so she wondered if this was the thanks she got for helping them!

While Phyllis lectured Elijah and Sonny, Nina showed up at the clinic and insisted she was there to drive Jax back to Port Charles. Nina had a tank full of gas and a thermos full of coffee, so she was all ready to go.

Jax was grateful, but he decided to decline the offer and noted that he’d made other arrangements anyway.

Moments later, Josslyn showed up and was surprised over the sling Jax’s arm was in. She was upset since Jax said this was a minor injury, but Jax argued that the bullet barely grazed him. Jax noticed Josslyn’s ankle boot, so they established that they both had a lot to catch up on during the ride home.

Joss admitted that Trina had gone to grab some food before they left town again. Nina nervously hoped Trina was just at a nearby drive-thru, but Josslyn insisted Trina wanted to go to that cute little place called The Tan-O – and Nina looked a bit panicked.

Back at the bar, Phyllis encouraged Sonny to make Nixon Falls a peaceful place if he wanted Nina to stick around. After Nina and Sonny left the room, Trina appeared and looked around.

General Hospital spoilers say Nina will find herself in a jam thanks to Trina’s arrival, so she’ll have to think fast once Monday rolls around!

In the meantime on Friday’s GH episode, the guard tried to get Cameron to leave Jason’s room. Jason hoped Cam could stay, so the guard allowed it with the door open.

Cameron ripped into Jason for killing Franco, but Jason argued he was innocent until proven guilty. That left Cam even angrier until Britt appeared.

Cameron snarled that he hoped Jason would be protected. He wanted Jason to die an old man behind bars, so Britt questioned Jason after Cam’s exit.

Britt wondered why Jason didn’t tell Cameron about Peter August (Wes Ramsey) being the real killer, but Jason suggested it was for Cam’s protection.

Britt thought Jason was pretty sweet for a killer and hid her shaky hand. After Jason pushed Britt to leave so she’d have deniability, Britt agreed to go have a very public drink at the Metro Court. She pushed Jason to try not to die since she would take that personally as his doctor.

Cyrus’ minion janitor watched Britt and called the boss to let him know they were together, though he didn’t know what they were saying.

As for Cameron, he found Liz and griped about how Jason was all bad – though Liz didn’t agree. Cameron argued that Jason was lying and felt Liz knew he was guilty.

At Pentonville, Maggie (Sydney Walsh) quizzed Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) about her easy library job and warned that special treatment could put a target on her back.

Later, Alexis was stunned to see Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) enter. Shawn explained that over time, he earned the privilege of visiting the women’s library wing for access to books the men’s side didn’t have.

Shawn and Alexis acknowledged their history as well as how Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) had gone the distance in their own relationship.

After Shawn talked about deciding to get a business degree, he learned Alexis got some help fighting off an attack recently. Shawn warned about the dangers of a deal that was too good to be true.

General Hospital spoilers say Alexis will work hard to help Shawn in the coming weeks, so it looks like he’s just reconnected with his ticket to freedom! CDL will have other sizzling General Hospital spoilers, news and updates to read up on, so stop by regularly.
