General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, December 10, reveals that Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) served tainted food that caused Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) collapse, so Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) deal paid off.
In solitary confinement, Peter freaked out over having a visitor until he realized it was Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
After Peter complained about Sonny putting a target on his back, Anna dismissed the idea that Sonny would risk it – though she did point out Peter had a lot of enemies who might come after him.
Anna suggested maybe she could help if Peter confessed every single crime and gave up his parental rights to Louise August (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt).
After Peter refused, Anna took off and left him to contemplate whether it was safe to eat breakfast. Peter initially turned down his tray before deciding to eat after all.
Once Peter got dressed for his arraignment, GH fans could see that his breakfast had been eaten.
Suddenly, Peter became quite ill and collapsed to the floor in pain. He was struggling to breathe through convulsions – and outside his cell, the camera panned up to reveal that Brad had been the one working breakfast duty.
At the Metro Court, Selina met up with Sonny as they confirmed the conditions of their deal.
After Selina made some comments about the lack of Jason’s presence, Carly appeared. She was curious about whatever bargain had been going on, but Sonny put the focus on trying to find a replacement for Jason.
Jason was irreplaceable, but Sonny pointed out that graveyards were full of indispensable men. After Sonny reflected on how his Nixon Falls experience changed him, he shared a romantic moment with Carly before Anna interrupted.
Anna offered her condolences on Jason and privately quizzed Sonny about whether he’d let the law run its course with Peter.
Sonny acted like Anna was giving him too much credit and acted like there was nothing he could do to target Peter behind bars.
Back with Carly, she was surprised when Selina sat down in front of her at the bar.
Selina mentioned how important it was to protect family and sought confirmation that was what Carly and Sonny both wanted.
At GH, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) was hopeful about taking her baby home with Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor). After Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Lucy Coe Lynn Herring) arrived for a visit, Brando headed to the chapel to pray.
TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) caught up with Brando there and renewed their friendship through a show of support.
Back with Lucy, she tried to talk business with Sasha, but Sasha was only concerned with Liam Corbin’s future right now. Lucy reflected on suffering miscarriages and helping to raise Serena Baldwin, so that brought a sweet scene of connection.
Next, Nina urged Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to get her Jason frustration off her chest, so Britt said they’d go down that road if she wanted.
Britt was indeed upset over Nina not calling the cops on Peter and wanted to know why she didn’t. Nina blamed it on Peter’s blackmail and managed to hash things out with Britt since they were family.
Afterward, it was time for Britt to join Liam’s doctor in delivering the EEG results to Brando and Sasha. Britt looked glum as she closed the door behind her.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) lashed out at Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) over the paternity drama.
Since Chase knew the timing of when he slept with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), Michael thought maybe Chase just didn’t want to know the truth about “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise.
After Brook Lynn took all the blame, Chase was hopeful that they could all get past this.
Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) could do that with Chase, but she suggested Brook Lynn was a completely different story. However, Willow calmed down in the end and was willing to try a peaceful path forward.
Once Willow was alone with Michael, they addressed the topic of Brad’s upcoming parole and whether forgiveness was possible.
Michael couldn’t forget what Brad took from him and ended up questioning why Willow seemed so willing to forgive Nina.
As for Chase, he gave Brook Lynn a pep talk as they agreed they were in this together.
