General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Friday, December 17, tease that Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) surprise will thrill Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) while Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) survival causes drama. Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will also threaten Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), so let’s discuss what’s ahead in Port Charles.
First, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will urge Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) to consider if it’d really be so terrible to reconnect with Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett).
It’s certainly wise to proceed with caution – and Portia doesn’t expect Curtis to forgive the pain of the past right away.
Even so, Portia may push Curtis to look within and see that part of him still wants a relationship with his father deep down.
While Portia presents another perspective, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) and Marshall will address some of the buried truths they’re keeping under wraps.
It’s clear that Curtis doesn’t have the whole story – starting with the fact that Stella clearly already knew Marshall was alive.
Stella will worry about what else Curtis might learn if Marshall sticks around and won’t be pleased when Marshall tries to downplay the risks.
“You talk like you know what the good Lord has planned!” Stella declares in Friday’s preview video.
Stella may warn that Marshall can’t predict the future or how Curtis might react to any other shockers they’ve kept hidden all these years.
Over with Sam, she’ll take Scout Cain (Ella Ramacieri) to see Drew at the Quartermaine mansion.
That’ll lead to a day of Christmas decorating and father-daughter bonding, so Drew will appreciate Sam’s surprise visit and help in making this happen.
Next, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Elizabeth “Liz” Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will find some common ground.
Liz will share a wish she’d like to come true – and it’ll be one Britt can agree on if it involves Peter dying because of his recent poisoning in jail. However, Peter will pull through for now and that means the nightmare isn’t over just yet.
At GH, Olivia will try to stop a fight before it starts. She was with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) when they found Nina standing with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), so there’s the potential for major conflict.
It looks like Olivia will intervene and perhaps remind Carly that there are more important things to worry about right now – like Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) sad baby situation. Still, Olivia will privately let Nina know where she stands.
Nina will wonder if Olivia’s threatening her, but Olivia will fire back that it’s a fact. She’ll have Carly’s back and will urge Nina to keep her distance from Sonny, but Nina can never stay away for long.
As for Carly, she’ll ask if something’s over – perhaps referring to Liam Corbin’s ordeal.
Meanwhile, Sasha will fret over doing the wrong thing as she gets honest with Brando. She’s trying to come to grips with letting Liam go, but Brando will have to help her work through some last-minute doubts.
General Hospital spoilers say Brando and Sasha will try to give each other the strength to truly bid Liam farewell, so stay tuned for some emotional scenes.
