General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, February 5, reveal that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was at Crimson when Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) dropped by to apologize.
Nina wasn’t having it, and she wouldn’t buy Jax’s claim that he did what he did to protect her. Rather, Nina said that Jax was doing what was best for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).
After rehashing many of the details of Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) saga, Nina lashed out against Jax, accusing him of wanting to keep her from a lifetime of knowing Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson).
Jax said that never occurred to him, and Nina told Jax to not make this any harder on her and just to go.
At the Corinthos house, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) told Carly that things were set, and that “it” might not be what Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) is expecting, but it’s what he was going to get.
Meanwhile, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) dropped by the house to tell Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) that there would be extra cops on patrol for Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) funeral. When Michael stepped away, Chase told Willow that he missed her.
Michael went to the living room, where he, Jason, and Carly talked about the need for Sonny’s funeral and how it would show the family’s rivals that Jason is in charge.
Michael said that he had talked to Krisitina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) and that she was on board with the funeral, too.
At the Metro Court, Martin received a box with a cell phone in it, along with a post-it note saying “Florence” attached to the phone. Martin made a call on the phone, and he talked with his mom Florence Grey (Annie Abbott), happy to hear that she was ok.
Martin then went to the Corinthos house, where he told Jason and Carly that he had a nice talk with his mother, and that he’d back away from seeking her freedom for the time being since Sonny’s funeral was tomorrow. But Martin warned that Florence wouldn’t be able to hold the peace in Port Charles for long.
Meanwhile, in the living room, Michael and Willow talked, and Michael suggested that Willow move into the Quartermaine guest house for the time being for safety. Michael explained that there was naturally some danger due to the transition of power in the family.
At the Tan-O Bar, Sonny told Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) that the meds were helping and that he hoped his memory would return soon. Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) convinced Sonny to stay with them longer and pay his way by working around the place.
Sonny agreed as long as he could make his special pasta sauce. Later, Phyllis brought Sonny some fresh tomatoes, and Sonny wondered if there were people out there looking for him.
At Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) house, she and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) deduced that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) had been lying to them, and that he had known Drew Cain (Billy Miller) back in the day.
Anna lamented that Peter must have played more than a minor role when Drew was abducted, and she thought that Valentin should warn Peter that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) was roaming free.
At the cemetery, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) lingered at Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) gravesite. Peter approached, saying that he was there to tell Nathan that he’d do right by Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). Britt fumed that Peter was nothing like Nathan, and she walked off.
Peter then talked to Nathan, griping about all the nonstop comparisons to him. Peter vowed that he’d make sure that Nathan was a ghost in Maxie’s distant memory.
Valentin came along and overheard this, and he shared with Peter that Liesl’s whereabouts were unknown, and he said that Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) could place Peter at the scene of a crime.
Peter played dumb, and Valentin said that he could clarify, and that Franco was channeling Drew’s memories, and that Peter had burst into the OR to try to kill Franco. Peter still played dumb, and Valentin asked exactly how Peter had crossed Jason a while back. Peter just stared.
At the hospital, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) took Chase’s water bottle and a cheek swab he got from himself to a lab tech, asking for a DNA comparison to be run.
Right afterwards, Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) approached, but Finn didn’t want to talk. Jackie pressed the issue and followed Finn to his office, where Finn said that he needed to know if Chase was his brother or his son.
Jackie didn’t think any of this was worth destroying Chase’s entire life over, but Finn said that he might not even tell Chase if it turned out he was his father. Jackie didn’t think that Finn would be able to keep the secret for long, and that it would tear Chase’s life apart.
Chase entered the office, happy to see Finn and Jackie together. Jackie claimed to be there following a lead, and she left. Chase then said that he came to thank Finn for his advice about Willow, and he hugged Finn big.
Elsewhere in the hospital, Anna tracked Britt down and said that she was looking for someone who had gone missing. “Tell me where your mother is, and I promise not to shoot her on site,” Anna said.
At the nurses’ station, Jackie asked a nurse about where she could find Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman). The nurse said that Bobbie no longer worked at the hospital, and that she was on a private assignment in Vermont.
Finally, back at Crimson, Nina put on both her necklace and Nelle’s necklace, then she called the TAN-O Bar. Sonny answered, saying, “The TAN-O, Mike speaking.” Nina was startled and immediately recognized the voice.
