General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, January 29 – Nina’s Daughter Shocker – Olivia Fears Dante Dead – Sonny's Mystery Question

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Friday, January 29, tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will put the two pendants together to see if they’re a true match. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) still doesn’t know if that pendant is the one that belonged to Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) or the duplicate.

However, Carly’s about to find out since Nina’s determined to see if the pieces fit.

It looks like Carly’s bad luck will strike again based on Friday’s GH preview video. “Could she really be my daughter?” Nina says in disbelief. It appears the pendant will match her own, so Nina’s mind should go to who might’ve been at the cabin to drop this necklace.

Will Nina solve the puzzle and determine that it must’ve been Nelle? It’s interesting that Nina says could she “be” her daughter and not could she “have been” her daughter.

It’s possible Nina’s mind just won’t wrap her head around the death part yet, but it’s also possible Nina will draw some other conclusion at first.

There’s even a chance that Nina could still be speaking generally at that point – as in could the woman who dropped this necklace really be her daughter. However, this shouldn’t be too hard for Nina to figure out once she thinks hard enough.

Nina knows Nelle kidnapped Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) and took him to that cabin – and Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) found that pendant outside on the property.

General Hospital spoilers say Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will finally insist that he can’t lie to Nina anymore, so he might confess that he already figured this out along with Carly.

Of course, Jax will likely leave out the part about Carly letting Nelle slip through her grasp on the cliff’s edge!

That could bring another secret for Nina to uncover later, but she may face the crushing blow of knowing Nelle was her bio daughter for now.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) will decide Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) has caused more than enough drama.

Monica will think it’s time for Tracy to leave, so Tracy will be surprised as she realizes Monica is kicking her out. Nevertheless, Tracy may decide she’s getting a little tired of all the Quartermaine chaos anyway!

Speaking of Quartermaine chaos, there’s a new crisis for Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) to deal with. Olivia will be confused once she rushes to GH and gets updates on Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) scary ordeal.

“Please tell me he’s alive!” Olivia begs with a shaky voice in Friday’s GH preview clip. Fortunately, Dante will indeed pull through, but the facts of the case are only going to add to Olivia’s anger.

Dante stepped in front of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) to protect him and got jabbed with the syringe by mistake, so Olivia will fume over Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) nearly killing her son!

This comes on the heels of Olivia finding out that Alexis was Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) cheating partner, so it’s easy to see why Olivia’s rage will erupt. As for Ned, he’ll shut down Robert Scorpio’s (Tristan Rogesr) attempts to comfort Olivia.

Ned will make it clear that he’s all the support Olivia needs, but Robert may remind Ned that he’s not a threat to Ned and Olivia’s marriage. Olivia didn’t cheat with Robert; it was Ned who cheated with Alexis!

In the end, Ned may back off and concede that Robert’s right about that.

Over with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), he’ll try to figure out why Dante would risk himself to save Franco. Jason will push Franco to answer that question, so Franco may think it was an instinct type of situation.

Neither one of them could guess Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) programmed Dante to protect Franco with her pen-clicking tactic.

Next, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will ponder a different mystery. He’ll try to figure out why Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) cares for a complete stranger and will seem agitated by her persistent attempts to help.

Phyllis may bring up past regrets and her need to make amends for those.

Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) argued that Phyllis’ desire to take in “strays” like Sonny was about making up for the illegal adoption she was part of. It might be something Phyllis shares or at least alludes to during her conversation with Sonny.

Whatever the case, Sonny will ultimately speak with the mental health expert Phyllis suggested, so he should be on the verge of getting a bipolar diagnosis again.

Back in Port Charles, Alexis will face Mac Scorpio’s (John J. York) at the PCPD. Since Alexis was just arrested, she’ll have to explain what happened to Mac.

Alexis will contend that she thought Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) as in danger, but Mac will think the alcohol is the real problem here. Regardless, Mac will warn that there’s no justification for Alexis’ actions.
