General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, July 2 Recap – Carly Removes Sonny’s Rings – Trina Pepper Sprays Nik – Joss Kisses Cam

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, July 2, reveals that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) removed Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) wedding rings while Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) pepper sprayed Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) also kissed Cameron Webber (William Lipton), so here’s how all the action went down on Friday’s hot episode.

At Pentonville, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) happily caught up with Brad Cooper (Parry Shen).

They discussed all the Grey’s Anatomy they’d binge-watch when Brad got out before talk turned to Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) and then Britt’s time on the run.

Britt admitted to sleeping with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), but she tried to act like they went through an intense experience that fizzled.

Brad could tell Britt developed real feelings, but she thought she was foolish for thinking she could have a future. Brad was confused about why Britt wouldn’t have one, but she claimed she simply meant one with Jason.

After Brad gave her a pep talk and mentioned his upcoming parole hearing, Britt was hopeful that he’d get out in time for the Nurses Ball in the fall.

Brad agreed it’d be nice to watch the red-carpet coverage like the good old days and make fun of it with Britt.

In the Corinthos living room, Carly and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) explained to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) how their marriage would send a message about being a united front.

Michael understood that motive, but he wondered if they even wanted to be married and if Jason even wanted to run Sonny’s business.

Carly acknowledged Sonny was still the only man she wanted to be married to – and Jason didn’t ask for the business to be thrust upon him either.

Nevertheless, Jason and Carly felt they were doing what they had to do.

Later, Carly got emotional about needing to remove her wedding ring set.

Jason suggested Carly didn’t have to do it until she was ready, but she felt it was time and took them off. Carly got some comfort from Jason as she cried and talked about how much she missed Sonny.

At The Savoy, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) talked to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) about perhaps not being on the same page about the kiss.

Curtis felt like Portia was intentionally shutting him out, but Portia mentioned something about how their relationship wouldn’t be received well and dashed away.

After Josslyn got a new journal as a gift from Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), it led to a confrontation with Cameron about her old one.

Joss ranted about Cameron reading it, but he argued that Dev Cerci aka “Dev Corbin” (Ashton Arbab) showed it to him.

Cam brought up how her journal said he was a bad kisser, which baffled Josslyn. She caught Cam off guard by planting a passionate kiss to disprove what he thought.

Meanwhile, Jax told Nina about Carly and Jason’s impending marriage. Although Jax tried to get closer to Nina again, she shut him out.

At Charlie’s Pub, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) got updates from Kevin Collins (Genie Francis) about the stalker trap Nikolas wanted to snap. Kevin and Laura were concerned about Nikolas running into trouble.

At the gallery, Trina attacked what she thought was an intruder with a canister of pepper spray. Nikolas cried out in pain and got some help flushing out his eyes with water before Trina called Laura for help.

After Kevin and Laura took Nikolas to the hospital to be on the safe side, Trina left as well.

The real stalker aka Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) accidentally knocked a controller box off the desk – and Trina picked it up when she returned to grab her phone.

Trina eventually came face to face with the masked man, but her mace canister was empty. She begged the stalker not to hurt her and wound up throwing the controller.

Trina looked up along with the masked man like something horrible was about to happen.

Afterward, Trina showed up to her graduation party doused in fake blood and looked terrified. At GH, Nikolas held a cloth over his eyes and reassured Laura along with Kevin.

Nikolas thought the stalker just wanted to provoke fear since he would’ve done far worse if he’d wanted to. Even so, Laura was fearful about Nikolas inviting danger by pushing this.

Back at Charlie’s Pub, Britt settled in next to Jax and asked if he’d got a save the date card. We’ll fill you in as other GH news rolls in. General Hospital spoilers say some other shockers and shakeups are brewing, so keep watching!
