General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, May 14 Recap – Peter’s Plan to Vanish with Maxie & Baby – Gladys Congratulates Daddy Cyrus

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, May 14, teases that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) hinted at a secret plan to vanish with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and their baby. Meanwhile, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) congratulated Daddy Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) by mistake while Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) got busted by Elijah Crowe (Dan White).

In Elijah’s office, “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) made sure the place looked like a proper robbery had gone down. Sonny made a mess and stole the cash he could find before installing some software on Elijah’s computer.

Since Sonny caused the alarm to go off through the break-in, the police eventually came. Sonny looked nervous as the red and blue flashing lights pulled up outside.

Elsewhere, Nina pulled back from Elijah to prevent his kiss. She felt they had plenty of time, but Elijah seemed like he was ready to try again for the lip lock until he received the break-in news.

Nina tagged along with Elijah, who wasn’t as sure as the cops about this being another one of the town’s usual robberies. Elijah wondered if someone was trying to send him a message since he couldn’t figure out who would rob a commercial real estate office that only had petty cash in it.

Nina slipped off an earring and intentionally left it behind before assuring Elijah that she could walk home. At The Tan-O, Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) caught “Mike” slipping the robbery money into their own cash box and assumed it was more of Sonny’s money.

Phyllis scolded Sonny for not saving up for his own future and thought he would’ve made his move with Nina by now.

Sonny managed to get rid of Phyllis before Nina called from Elijah’s office. She was able to get in through the backdoor since Sonny left it open for her. That software Sonny installed allowed Nina to gather information on Elijah’s computer as well.

Sonny became nervous and wanted Nina to hurry out of there, but she had to print off what she’d found.

Once the printer finished, Nina began stuffing the papers in her nurse – right as Elijah arrived to wonder what was going on. Back in Port Charles, Cyrus approached Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and didn’t think she looked well.

Sasha said there was something going around and argued that her doctor was going to help her out with that.

Cyrus offered to give Sasha a ride, but she turned him down and felt keeping her distance was part of her recovery. However, Cyrus suggested he had hoped they could leave the past in the past.

Sasha lashed out over nearly dying thanks to Cyrus while Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) thanked Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) for saving Sasha’s life.

Gladys Corbin (Johnny Wactor) got updates on Brando’s heroic efforts and was quite transfixed on the confrontation playing out between Sasha and Cyrus. Since Gladys had overheard Sasha’s pregnancy news in the bathroom earlier, she got the wrong idea about who the father was.

Gladys privately pointed out the interaction to Lucy, who suddenly thought she saw the sparks between Sasha and Cyrus. Gladys pondered the kids they could make with Sasha’s good looks and Cyrus’ determination, so Lucy got the wrong idea, too.

Lucy cornered Sasha soon after, but Sasha made it clear that Cyrus was NOT the father! Sasha still hadn’t told the true “baby daddy,” so Lucy wanted updates as soon as that conversation happened.

Brando met back up with Sasha and worried he might’ve done something wrong. He thought they were on the same page about their night together before, but now…not so much.

While Brando pushed Sasha to open up about what was going on with her, Gladys moseyed over to Cyrus and told him congratulations were in order. Cyrus seemed confused as Gladys said she heard he was going to be a father.

Next, Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy) showed up to see Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) at her request. Diane wasn’t pleased that Carly and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) put an escape plot in motion when she felt she could’ve beaten the charges in court.

Carly had other legal matters to discuss since she wanted her will revised.

Ava Jerome (Maura West) brought Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) for a sleepover since she was missing her sisters, but Carly suspected there was more to the story.

While Diane and Avery were upstairs, Ava admitted she was there for the truth. She knew it couldn’t be a coincidence that Jason escaped while her dinner party distraction for Cyrus was in progress.

Carly tried to play dumb, but Ava insisted that she might’ve been more equipped to delay Cyrus if she’d known the full plan. She also knew about Carly’s presence at the five families meeting and reiterated that they were on the same side in this Cyrus battle.

Ava once again made it clear if there was anything she could do to protect Avery, all Carly had to do was ask.

Diane came back in the room and was surprised to find the ladies playing nice, but Ava felt they’d reached a new understanding. Once Ava was gone, Diane pointed out that Carly could change her will – but she didn’t want Carly to change her life.

Diane gave Carly a reminder about how much her children needed her.

At GH, Maxie called Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) to come get the keys to the rental house in Beechers Corners. When Brook Lynn tried to head for the hospital, she opened the mansion door to find Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

Brook Lynn and Valentin had a civil baby chat before she gave Yuri the bodyguard the slip.

Maxie feared Peter had overheard too much on her phone call, but he was still in the dark on her plan. Peter pretended to meet “Chloe Jennings” (Kimberly J. Brown) before Maxie urged him to get to know Chloe while she was meeting with her new OB-GYN, Dr. Sofia Navarro (Christina Ferraro).

Brook Lynn made it to GH, where she got the keys from Maxie and agreed to stock the Beechers Corners house with supplies. Maxie also wanted Brook Lynn to be prepared to help Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) deliver the baby.

Brook Lynn didn’t love that idea since she’d done some scary waterbirth research, but she assured Maxie she’d do whatever it took to protect her daughter.

Maxie’s appointment went well while Peter talked to “Chloe” about his own secret birth plan. Peter had a little getaway in mind before he would vanish along with Maxie and Baby Lou. “Chloe” was brimming with confidence about her role in helping Peter start a new life with his family.

Peter joined Maxie following her appointment, but Dr. Navarro appeared and threw them for a loop. Since Maxie previously indicated she was open to inducing labor, Dr. Navarro saw no reason to wait.

She suggested they should induce labor right now, so both Peter and Maxie looked stunned over this curveball to their plans.

After Brook Lynn reconvened with Valentin, she was shocked to learn he planned to move in the Quartermaine mansion along with Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) and Yuri.
