General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, November 5, teases that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will face an alarming Jeff Webber (last played by Dean Richard Anderson) bombshell while Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) plots bedroom mischief. Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) will also have a surprise for Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), so let’s talk about all Friday’s action.
At GH, Liz will get why Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) wants Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to suffer. Liz will suggest that she’d go after someone who tried to interfere in her family, too. She’ll even go as far as to say nothing could stop her from destroying that person.
Of course, we have to wonder if this might be a hint about Liz’s own story. Is there a reason Jeff kept his distance beyond just being a flaky father? Maybe Jeff’s motives for staying away are more complicated than Liz realizes.
On the other hand, Jeff himself could be the brewing threat. If Jeff comes to town and causes drama for Liz’s family, she may indeed fight back – just like Carly’s doing with Nina now. Whatever the case, Carly should appreciate Liz for backing her up on this.
As for Elizabeth, she’ll get an unsettling warning from Terry Randolph (Cassandra James). Terry insisted she wouldn’t serve as a go-between, but maybe Jeff will reach out to her again anyway.
Jeff might even mention wanting to visit Port Charles and leave Liz on edge as a result. Regardless, Jeff seems destined to show up at some point in the coming episodes.
Next, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will have to take whatever Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) dishes out. Trina won’t think Spencer’s fooling anybody, so she may accuse him of making more promises without action behind them.
Spencer has to prove he’s willing to head down a better path, so that means he needs to put in the work.
This is something that’ll take time – and there are no easy shortcuts. Despite Trina’s somewhat harsh stance, Spencer will continue to be grateful for her honest guidance.
Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will have some guidance for Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) on Friday as well. Nikolas will try to be hopeful and will speak about something that might happen in the future.
Ava will replace Nikolas’ “if” with “when” since she’ll be confident in his vision. Maybe Ava and Nikolas will both hope for a day when they can achieve true peace with Spencer.
Nikolas is also counting on the Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Herbst) mess to go away, but there could be some unexpected lingering complications.
Over with Alexis, she’ll welcome Shawn to Spring Ridge once again. Shawn will bring Alexis up to speed on his surprising decision to take Nikolas’ offer. He may feel like he’s made a deal with the devil in some ways, but he’ll at least plan to do good things with the money.
Shawn will probably give Alexis another nudge toward taking the pardon that’s up for grabs.
Since Shawn caved, Alexis may do the same. It looks like Alexis will indeed be home for the holidays according to the latest GH buzz, so it’s time to get the ball rolling on her release.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will hope to reach an agreement. He’ll present a bargain, but it’ll really be more of a threat.
It seems wounded Joey Novak (Patrick Zeller) may be on the receiving end of Sonny’s warning, so he’d better listen up!
“Marshall” (Robert Gossett) was apparently the one who went after Joey, but Sonny may argue he’ll have no problem carrying out an attack of his own. He won’t put up with a loudmouth like Joey harassing Carly or anyone else in his family.
Sonny may urge Joey to make himself scarce once he gets out of the hospital or else they’re going to have a problem. Unfortunately, the Novaks are no doubt going to replace Joey – and the person who steps up could be scarier and a lot more competent.
Sonny is walking into the unknown now when it comes to the new head of the Novak family, so he’ll need to stay on guard. Speaking of staying on guard, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will certainly do that when it comes to Esme.
Esme will be getting way too chummy with Cameron Webber (William Lipton) as far as Josslyn is concerned. We’ll see Esme talk about what a gentleman Cam is and perhaps act like it’s great that he’s not in any hurry to hit the sheets with Josslyn.
Esme will definitely sense that Josslyn’s insecure about not taking that bedroom step yet, so she’ll exploit Joss’ insecurities and set up some chaos.
Later, Josslyn will be all over Cameron as she drops hints about heating things up, but they’ll both be nervous about what’s to come.
As for Esme, she’ll grow increasingly irritated with Trina and her influence on Spencer. Esme will definitely make Trina a target down the road, so stay tuned.
