General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, October 22 Recap – Nina Arrested for Identity Fraud – Victor’s Immunity for Peter Takedown

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, October 22, reveals that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was arrested for identity fraud while Victor hoped to trade his immunity for Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) takedown, so here’s how things played out on Friday’s GH episode.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) arrived right as Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and the district attorney from Llanview were wrapping up their deal.

Willow met Mr. Sheridan before he left – and then she grilled Michael about his apparent bribe until she got a confession.

Michael admitted he gave Mr. Sheridan a campaign donation and the chance at a high-profile case – one involving prosecuting Nina for fraud and identity theft.

Although Michael denied that he was trying to keep Nina from Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Caleb and Kyler Ends), he wanted Nina punished for what she did in Nixon Falls.

Willow was upset over Michael making a vengeful move since she thought she talked him off the ledge.

Willow warned that Nina’s visitation of Wiley could be affected by the criminal charges, but Michael was fine with Nina facing consequences and felt it was in the DA’s hands now.

At the restaurant, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) seemed receptive to Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) offscreen offer. However, Nina made an offer of her own while Sonny was on a phone call.

Once Sonny reappeared, Ava revealed that they both wanted to buy Charlie’s Pub and basically left them to have a bidding war on their own.

Nina and Sonny established that they both wanted Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) to have it for a fresh start in Port Charles.

Since Nina felt Phyllis would be more open to the idea coming from Sonny, she pushed him to make the purchase and let her secretly pay for half.

Sonny had it covered and didn’t want to be that connected to Nina, so she understood.

Nina eventually admitted she’d been waiting in dread for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) to come after her for her romantic involvement with Sonny.

Since that hadn’t happened yet, Nina assumed Carly hadn’t been told. Sonny didn’t see the need in making things worse since he was trying to rebuild his marriage.

Nina promised Carly wouldn’t find out from her and hoped to earn back the trust of the people she loved in PC. Soon after, some officers arrived to place a stunned Nina under arrest for identity fraud.

Over with Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom), he caught up with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) at the courthouse.

Kevin mentioned that he’d spoken with Laura Collins (Genie Francis), who couldn’t condone Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) actions – but she couldn’t condone the things Nikolas had done either.

Spencer’s public defender pushed him for his plea before Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) approached. Joss knew Spencer didn’t want to play by Ava’s rules, but she still felt like Spencer needed to take her deal to avoid prison.

Spencer admitted Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) made the same pitch, so Cam suggested they were all on the same page.

Once Spencer went before the judge and was asked for his plea, he looked back at Ava and said not guilty.

Spencer was deemed a flight risk and was ordered to surrender his passport as his bail was set.

Kevin swooped in with an offer to pay, which meant Spencer didn’t have to sit behind bars until his trial that was scheduled for six weeks later.

Spencer also needed a place to live that would provide stability, so he agreed to move back in with Kevin – and Esme piped up that it worked for her.

Kevin flashed Esme an irritated look before speaking to Spencer alone. Spencer was expecting a catch to come with the bail money, so Kevin admitted there was one.

Kevin insisted Spencer had to earn the support he was receiving and pushed him to get a job.

Back with Esme, she played innocent with Ava and suggested she’d keep trying to talk some sense into Spencer. Esme was apologetic about letting Spencer drag her into trouble.

Ava also spoke to Nikolas about Spencer and how their battle was far from over based on his face in the courtroom.

At the U.S. Consulate medical facility, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was still unconscious as Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) spoke with a doctor.

Anna found out the bullet had fragmented, but the surgery was too delicate for them to handle. The doctor recommended that Valentin have the surgery in the United States instead.

In a moment alone with Valentin, Anna talked about how he was an unconventional hero who turned his life around.

Anna had to go due to a message from Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), but she kissed Valentin’s hand and said he could count on her coming back.

In an interrogation room, Robert insisted he wanted the whole truth or else he’d put Victor in an unmarked grave himself.

Victor argued that Peter forced him to do his bidding, so Robert wondered what Peter’s leverage was.

However, Victor was ready to talk negotiations and pushed for blanket immunity. Robert didn’t respond well to that plan, but Victor assumed Anna would be more willing to hear him out.

Victor thought he was the WSB’s best shot at bringing Peter down and warned Anna to call in favors – or else any more bloodshed would be on her hands.

Later, Anna returned to an awake Valentin, who warned her not to take whatever deal Victor was offering.

Valentin felt it was a trap, but Anna suggested stopping Peter was most important. She had a feeling that Victor knew where Peter was hiding.

At the taverna, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) crossed paths with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri).

Britt found out that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) had been given a strong sedative, so she said her mom had basically been roofied. Jason thought that was the best news Britt could get since Peter was keeping her alive.

After Jason spoke with Sam privately about Drew and how there was hope without a body, he reconvened with Britt.

Jason assured Britt that he was still on board with helping, so they decided to start by retracing Peter’s steps.

As for Sam and Dante, they prepared to head back to Port Charles since Sam needed to be with her children now.

General Hospital spoilers say Drew’s survival will ultimately be revealed, so don’t miss what’s ahead.
