General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, September 10, reveals that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) panicked as vengeful Peter August (Wes Ramsey) returned – and a warehouse strike was planned during the looming wedding festivities.
At the hospital, Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) was placed on a ventilator before Austin Gatlin Holt talked about her extremely elevated levels of carbon monoxide.
Austin feared a hyperbaric chamber might be necessary or else they could lose her, but Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) insisted they couldn’t let that happen.
At one point, Curtis also corrected Austin about the divorce and insisted he was still Jordan’s husband.
Curtis spoke sweetly to Jordan by her bedside about how he never stopped loving her – and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) also spoke to unconscious Jordan once got the horrible news. He insisted his mom needed to stay and tried to push Jordan to fight her way back to him.
There were concerns about Jordan’s poor kidney function, so Austin admitted that putting Jordan on dialysis was a possibility.
Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) pushed for updates once she had an oxygen mask on elsewhere. She later spied Curtis in a close moment with Jordan as he finally coaxed her awake.
As for Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), she was concerned to hear that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) sometimes let “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) get herself back to sleep.
Maxie argued Louise was too young to self-soothe and felt she should be the one making decisions for her child.
Brook Lynn wondered if Maxie was implying that she was a bad mom and felt Maxie had left her in charge of Louise’s care. She asked if Maxie was ready to reclaim Louise, but Maxie couldn’t do that yet due to the Peter situation.
Maxie also pushed Austin to accept her plus one invitation, but he was confused since she previously acted like it was too painful to even be friends. Austin didn’t get why Maxie would even want him at the wedding with her.
Meanwhile, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) pulled away from her kiss with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) only to decide she wouldn’t mind doing it again.
After another kiss, Carly marveled as it really sank in that they were getting married! She was nervous yet excited to figure out how to make this transition from best friends to husband and wife.
Carly convinced Jason to share a dance and thought he secretly liked it, but he suggested he simply couldn’t say no to her.
After Jason received word of Jordan’s hospital crisis, he filled Carly in and landed at GH with her.
Jason and Carly talked to Portia since they were concerned about Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) potentially being involved, but Portia explained the basement gas leak and the Creighton-Clark connection – prompting Carly to remember that’s where Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was held.
Down by the docks, a mob meeting went down where there was talk about the warehouse strike that had to happen during the wedding.
Mr. Buscema (Burt Tangredi), Vincent Novak (Glenn Taranto) and Ms. Nina Wu (Lydia Look) were all on hand to plot.
This was their one opportunity to take down the Corinthos organization and split the operation three ways to operate as they saw fit.
As for Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs), she was horrified to learn Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) had picked up a stripper side gig.
Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) insisted Brando was good at it – and Brando didn’t mind since it paid well. However, Gladys felt it was unfair for Brando and Sasha to plan on splitting baby expenses down the middle since Sasha could afford so much more.
After Vincent appeared, he flirted with Gladys before Brando made himself scarce along with Sasha – prompting Vincent to suspect Brando didn’t like him much.
Gladys explained about Brando needing to support his family, so Vincent hinted about taking care of Gladys and her loved ones if she stuck with him.
In Nixon Falls, Nina pushed Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) to just let Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) stay dead and let her live her life with “Mike.”
Jax wondered if Nina was even listening to herself since Sonny wasn’t dead at all. He was right there in town – and his family deserved to know the truth.
Nina started ranting about how Jax was doing this because of Carly, but he eventually helped her see that she was living an illusion. In the end, Nina was willing to tell “Mike” the truth, but she wanted space to do it.
Jax refused to leave Nixon Falls until he knew for sure Nina had come clean, but he was willing to give her the space she asked for.
On a bench, Sonny filled Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) in on Jax’s visit as they worried about Nina. Phyllis wondered how long Sonny would give Nina and Jax before he went back to The Tan-O, which led to her noticing his watch was gone.
Sonny explained that he got rid of it because he was done worrying about the past and wanted to focus on his future with Nina.
After Sonny headed back to the bar, he left his phone behind. Phyllis answered when Nina called and revealed that Sonny was on his way back to The Tan-O.
Once Nina hung up, she turned around to see that a vengeful Peter had arrived.
