General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, September 17 Update – Sonny Escapes – Spinelli Blocks Mob Attack – Carly & Jason’s Future

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, September 17, teases that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will be relieved as Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) escapes the blaze – and the mob attack will apparently be derailed. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) future together will also kick off, so here’s what you can look forward to.

Outside The Tan-O, Nina will cling to hope. She’ll shout that they have to get Sonny out before it’s too late, but Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) may not see any way it’ll be possible.

As for Sonny, he just woke up following that vision of Mike Corbin (Max Gail) – which was a memory game-changer. Now Sonny knows he has to get out of this mess alive and get back to Carly, so he’ll make it happen somehow.

Nina will breathe a sigh of relief when Sonny survives the fire, but he may have some anger to unleash since she hid who he really was all this time!

At the wedding in Port Charles, there should be no objections as Jason makes Carly his wife.

Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will do her part to make sure part two of this wedding goes off without a hitch – and that means hustling everyone along to the reception.

However, Maxie will take a moment to ponder Jax’s call and what he wanted. She’ll fill Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) in and most likely figure it wasn’t too important since Jax didn’t call a second time.

Of course, Jax will probably just be busy dealing with Sonny drama. The truth is the call was indeed pretty darn important since it was about Peter August (Wes Ramsey) being alive and potentially heading back to PC.

Luckily, Peter won’t get that far just yet. Within the next couple episodes, GH spoilers say Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will arrive in Nixon Falls and chase after Peter.

Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will cover separate ground, so Anna will be on her own for the first part of this upcoming faceoff.

As the wedding festivities continue, Jason and Carly will find themselves in a state of wedded bliss.

It’ll feel right being a married couple, but that’s only because they don’t know Sonny’s alive and will soon be on his way back to Port Charles.

Over with Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs), she’ll get a warning from her concerned son.

Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) will just want Gladys to be careful since she’s getting too chummy with Vincent Novak (Glenn Taranto) and could dig a hole for herself.

Vincent and Charles Buscema (Burt Tangredi) will take the lead on the mob attack plan, but it seems Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) will block it.

That warehouse strike probably won’t pan out the way Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and his allies want!

Spinelli will remain a bit down in the dumps over his failed relationship with Ellie Trout (Emily Wilson), who just couldn’t get on board with his ties to such a dangerous organization.

Nevertheless, Spinelli values his work – and he certainly values his friendship with Jason and Carly. It wasn’t that hard of a choice for Spinelli to put Corinthos loyalty over his old romance.

Next, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will be pleasantly surprised when Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) has a change of heart.

It appears Olivia will allow Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda) to see a specialist after all, but another storm’s brewing since Ned will get caught keeping secrets in the week ahead.

General Hospital spoilers say Ned and Olivia’s marriage is set to take more hits soon, so stay tuned.
