General Hospital Spoilers: GH Cast Shakeups Continue – Who Will Survive?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the cast shakeups will continue on the ABC soap, so who will survive? The show’s been facing some changes in recent months with some hires and returns as well as some departures. There should be more shakeups to come, so let’s talk about where things stand.

Briana Nicole Henry recently made her exit as Jordan Ashford, which was her choice according to Henry’s statement on Instagram.

Jordan was written out by sending her to a specialty clinic in Albany for treatment, so she took a leave of absence from the PCPD.

Of course, an exit like that makes it seem like a Jordan recast may pop up down the road, so that’s something to watch out for.

The show has recast some other roles lately like Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda) and Jake Webber (Enzo De Angelis), so Jordan could be next in line.

Rif Hutton made his exit as Lenny Caulfield when Lenny passed away rather abruptly at The Tan-O. Where does that leave Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) as the Nixon Falls drama winds down?

With the bar going up in flames, Phyllis might find a future in Port Charles – especially since she lost a baby girl who might actually be all grown up.

There’s the potential for Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) to be Phyllis’ long-lost daughter if that’s how GH writers want to take things.

Regardless, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may not want to totally abandon Phyllis after everything she’s done for him.

Still, Phyllis’ purpose has mostly been served, so it’s possible she’ll be written out to make room for other characters and allow other stories to get the focus.

As for Peter August (Wes Ramsey), many fans are hoping he finally meets his doom this time around. Peter has become truly sinister with zero chance at redemption, but the show’s already done the whole “Peter is still out there” exit.

It makes sense for Peter to face a more definitive deadly departure once his latest stint winds down.

We’re also gearing up for Sofia Mattsson’s maternity leave, though she’ll ultimately reprise her role as Sasha Gilmore.

Meanwhile, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) will once again push her luck when it comes to mob danger.

Will Gladys run out of lives at some point and meet a grim fate? Time will tell, but Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) will have his hands full as long as Gladys is alive!

For fans worried that Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) might be gone for good, that’s fortunately not the case. Rogers has indicated that he’s returning to the show, so it won’t be long until Robert gets back in the action for some new adventures.

Genie Francis has also confirmed that she’ll reprise the role of Laura Collins this fall, so there’s no need to worry about her status either.

Ava Jerome (Maura West) has been gearing up for a Port Charles departure for what feels like forever, but this seems to be a fake-out since Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) is on the verge of exposing Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) – and Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) exposure should follow.

Nevertheless, there’s a chance for some other genuine casting shakeups – including more exits – as several storylines move forward. As other GH news and updates emerge, we’ll keep you posted.
