General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Ingo Rademacher (ex-Jasper “Jax” Jacks) has filed a lawsuit over his firing, so that’s how this ex-GH star intends to challenge ABC’s Covid-19 vaccine mandate. TMZ obtained the legal documents, which were filed on December 13 in Los Angeles and reveal more about why Rademacher has decided to sue ABC.
Rademacher pushed for a religious exemption and went through an interview in hopes of getting it, but the network ultimately denied his request.
Since Rademacher wasn’t willing to get the vaccine that Disney required for the network, he was given the boot from GH in early November – eventually leading to Jax’s abrupt departure for Australia.
Rademacher’s lawsuit blasts ABC’s actions and calls them “blatantly unlawful.” It contains accusations of religious discrimination and claims that the network violated Rademacher’s rights with their latest moves.
As for what Rademacher hopes to accomplish with this lawsuit, he wants ABC’s vaccine mandate to be ruled as unconstitutional and is seeking damages as well.
It’s clear that Rademacher has a message to send, but we’ll have to wait and see how things play out if this lawsuit moves forward.
Of course, there are plenty of people on all sides of this fight – those who are standing with Rademacher and those who disagree with his decisions. That goes for fans as well as soap cast members, who have been weighing in on social media in many instances.
For now, Jax will remain off the show while those he left behind move on without him.
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will have her hands full with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and some cabin trip drama that’s coming up, but she’ll have to lean on Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) rather than her dad in the aftermath.
