General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the teen scene is once again a guy short. After Oscar Nero Quartermaine (Garren Stitt) died following his brain tumor battle, Dev Cerci aka “Dev Corbin” (Ashton Arbab) slid in his spot.
That gave Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) the fourth member of their crew.
However, Dev’s death put the gang back down to three – and that’s just not enough for mixing and matching! Trina decided she was only into Cameron as a friend anyway, so she could use another guy on canvas to be paired up with.
If GH writers intend to go with Josslyn and Cameron as a couple eventually, Trina deserves to find love, too.
On the other hand, Trina might change her mind or even admit she was just trying to take herself out of the running. Trina might’ve thought it’d be less messy and would free Cameron’s heart to pursue Josslyn.
In that case, there still aren’t enough guys to go around. GH really needs one more male teenager to complete the quad.
Some new casting sides hint that another key player in that age range could be headed to General Hospital. In fact, there’s been some strong buzz about the show recasting Spencer Cassadine (last played by Nicolas Bechtel).
Based on the content of these casting sides and some hints from insiders, it sounds like Spencer may be returning in the form of a new actor.
The goal may be to get a Spencer who’s just a tad older and someone who’ll fit in a little better with Josslyn, Cameron and Trina.
Although many fans adore Nicolas Bechtel in the role, recasts are a typical part of soaps. Sometimes they’re necessary as characters and storylines change, so it’s best to just embrace new beginnings.
Bolstering the Spencer recast idea, General Hospital spoilers say Spencer will soon be on Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) mind. Nikolas and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will have an important discussion about Spencer, so that could involve some talk about Spencer coming home.
We should also point out that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) is set to get a disturbing delivery for Valentine’s Day. Nikolas’ mind will immediately go to Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) as the sender, but new General Hospital spoilers hint someone else may be to blame for the creepy message.
If it’s Spencer who’s behind this twisted move, it could pave the way for Spencer to return with a brand-new face. Regardless, it’s wise to prepare for the possibility that the role’s being recast for some upcoming material. We’ll pass along updates as other GH news emerges.
