General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) world could soon get upended. As GH viewers know, Liesl is keeping a low profile in Port Charles right now, as she’s determined to keep Dante Falconeri (Dominick Zamprogna) working to get damaging information on Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
Liesl is sure that Peter framed her and had her sent into custody, which he did.
Well, there’s been another big development in Liesl’s life, and that’s that she recently reconciled with her daughter Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). Britt is now aware that Liesl is in Port Charles, and she’s agreed to keep her mother’s return a secret.
But GH viewers know that Britt is keeping a secret of her own, and it seems to have to do with her health.
Recently, Britt was shown on screen with her hands trembling uncontrollably. Exactly what this means remains to be seen, but it’s possible we could be looking at a situation in which Britt has a serious physiological disorder of some magnitude.
It’s a scary thought, but Britt’s father César Faison (Anders Hove) had Huntington’s Disease, and she could have inherited the disease.
This possibility has a lot of implications, and one of those implications is that Peter could become a very important person to Britt if her disease progresses. What if Britt needs blood or tissue from a close relative in order to survive?
Perhaps Britt might need a bone marrow transplant, with donor marrow from a blood relative. That might make Peter crucial to Britt’s very survival.
Of course, with Liesl gunning for Peter, that situation could drastically change if Liesl finds out that Peter is key to Britt’s health and well-being. Liesl might find herself in a situation in which she has to choose whether to pursue revenge on Peter or let him remain free in order to save Britt.
And who knows – if Peter does provide lifesaving help to Britt. then Liesl’s feelings about Peter could turn to gratitude!
We’ll see what happens here, but there’s even the possibility that Peter could bargain with Liesl for Britt’s life. Peter’s a pretty cold guy, and if he figures out what Liesl’s up to with respect to getting revenge, then he could tell Liesl that she needs to drop her plans against him…or else he won’t save Britt’s life!
That would certainly be a very “Peter” move, and it would surely infuriate Liesl to no end, but surely she’d want her daughter to survive. Do you think that Peter will worm his way out of setting Liesl up by saving Britt’s life?
