General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) may be dying, so he could be on the verge of revealing a terminal diagnosis and his final wish. Based on the hints GH writers are offering, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) may soon realize he’s going to lose his dad for a second time.
Marshall has shown back up after spending decades apart from his son, so why is he suddenly so determined to reconnect?
Perhaps it’s because Marshall knows it’s now or never. Marshall may have a deadly illness that’s going to send him to the grave for real – meaning this is his last chance to make amends.
Curtis already had to lose his dad once since he believed Marshall was dead for most of his life.
It’ll be a tough blow if Curtis gets to know Marshall and has to say a permanent goodbye so soon.
Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) will allude to a crushing reality ahead for Curtis in the December 29 episode, so she could mean Marshall’s true demise.
Marshall’s phone call on December 28 backed up that idea. He insisted the last thing he wanted to do was set back their progress and promised he was following protocol.
Marshall may have been checking in with his doctor just before Curtis arrived at his door.
It makes sense that Marshall would be seeking treatment to extend his life as much as possible, but he may be up against something that he can’t escape.
Perhaps the best Marshall can hope for is more time to reconnect with Curtis, Stella and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) before he passes away.
Marshall will face more struggles as he works to win Curtis’ over, but he may ultimately have sympathy on his side.
Curtis might take pity on his dad in the end and grant Marshall’s last wish to rebuild their broken bond.
General Hospital spoilers say Marshall will do whatever he can to make things right as 2022 gets underway – especially if this is going to be his last year alive!
