General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Austin (Roger Howarth) the doctor could start a new romance. Could Kristen Storms and Roger Howarth’s character be paired up in a love story?
GH fans know Howarth made a memorable debut as promised when he stumbled across Maxie in the woods and delivered Baby Louise. Peter August (Wes Ramsey) previously delivered James West (Curtis and Owen Rufca) and was paired up with Maxie.
Maybe General Hospital should keep up the theme of making Maxie’s baby deliverers her love interests! After all, Howarth’s going to need someone to fall for eventually.
Maxie certainly needs a new beau after all the Peter chaos. Once Maxie’s finally free from Peter and his obsession, perhaps she could move on with Austin.
It’s worth considering the idea now that Austin’s first scenes have aired and we know Howarth has worked with Storms. Austin will surely remain invested in what happens to Maxie and her newborn daughter.
He’ll always be the man who helped bring Louise into the world, so he’ll be forever tied to Maxie in a way.
Austin could even become a fill-in dad to Louise down the road. Louise definitely can’t count on crazy Peter as a father, so Austin might step up.
Regardless, Storms and Howarth worked well together in those fun scenes out in the woods. Why not give their characters a love story and see what happens?
We should note that Maxie had no glimmer of recognition whatsoever when it came to Austin’s face. GH viewers can’t ignore the fact that Austin looks just like Franco Baldwin, but the people of Port Charles can!
We’re supposed to pretend there’s no resemblance at all and just accept that Austin is someone new, not a Franco lookalike. That’s what Maxie and others who cross paths with Austin will do.
