General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) may kill Peter August (Wes Ramsey) to protect Louise August aka “Bailey Quartermaine (Harper and Scarlett Bloom). Will Maxie decide it’s the only way to end the threat to her daughter for good?
Peter once again escaped a tight spot when he jumped off that cliff and swam away in the river below.
Although Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) acknowledged that a drop like that could’ve killed Peter, he felt he’d be a fool to just assume Peter was dead.
It’s obvious Peter is indeed still alive, so GH missed out on the opportunity to have Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) fire the fatal shot.
Peter still took a bullet to the shoulder, but it would’ve been a great ending to Peter’s story if his aunt and the woman once believed to be his mother killed him.
Now that the show has bypassed that opportunity, it doesn’t seem likely they’ll let this same scenario play out again.
It’d be repetitive if Anna had another gun showdown with Peter, even if it had a different outcome.
Instead, GH may have another culprit in mind when it comes to who’ll finish Peter off.
As satisfying as it would’ve been to watch Anna kill Peter, it’d perhaps be even more satisfying to watch Maxie do the deadly deed. Maxie certainly hates Peter enough and is determined enough to protect her baby girl.
If Peter dares to come near “Bailey” aka Louise – and we all know he’ll try eventually – then Maxie may have no choice but to take matters into her own hands.
Maxie may score a gun and fire the lethal bullet herself. It’d be exciting to see Maxie take charge and have Peter’s obsession turn on him in such a shocking way.
Peter’s luck has to run out sooner or later, so we need to start thinking about what’ll happen once he resurfaces in Port Charles.
Peter is too smug, stubborn and reckless to let himself be taken into custody, so it looks like someone on canvas will have to kill him once he finally makes it back to PC.
Will it be Maxie who finally rids us of Peter? That’s the best option for the true climax of this story, so let’s hope it happens!
