General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will have to make a difficult decision about her future. Although it’ll be tough, Maxie will have to do what she feels is right for her – and that’ll likely involve walking away from Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
Of course, part of Maxie may cling to hope that this is one big misunderstanding initially. Since Maxie’s fought so hard to defend Peter over these last few months, she won’t want to let anyone shake her faith in him. However, the evidence will eventually become overwhelming.
After Maxie learns why Peter was abducted and all his twisted secrets come to light, there’ll be no denying what’s staring her in the face. Maxie will have to accept that Peter hasn’t redeemed himself and perhaps never will.
No matter how things turn out for Peter, one thing’s for sure: Maxie won’t be giving birth with Peter by her side. Their dreams of welcoming “Baby Lou” together aren’t going to pan out, so what does that mean for Maxie’s special delivery?
It’s possible Maxie will give birth on her own and just try to make the best of it. Maxie might concentrate on bringing this new life into the world and bonding with her daughter despite Peter’s transgressions. It may just be Maxie and her medical team until Lou joins her mom in Port Charles.
However, it seems like General Hospital writers might want to give Maxie someone to support her through this birth instead. It’s possible someone like Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will step up, especially since Lou’s name is a nod to Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan).
Lulu would absolutely be by Maxie’s side if she could, so Dante might feel the need to step up in her place.
Even so, the more likely options might be Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) or both. GH writers recently brought Maxie, Britt and Nina together as a united family.
They made a pact to stick together and protect each other, so it’s easy to imagine Nina and Britt rallying around Maxie when it’s time for Lou to be born.
This is going to be a rough ordeal for Maxie since her family with Peter will no longer be a reality. Having people in Maxie’s corner to help her cope can only be a good thing. We’ll provide updates as other GH news becomes available.
