General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) should be right about Spencer Cassadine (last played by Nicolas Bechtel) coming around on her marriage to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).
There’s a good chance Spencer is behind the eerie threat Ava’s facing, but he may find a reason to have a major change of heart.
GH fans know Nikolas just struck a deal with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), so there’s the potential for grave danger here. Once you get stuck in Cyrus’ twisted web, it can be tough to get out!
Nikolas agreed to find Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) for Cyrus in exchange for the promise of Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) safety at Pentonville.
However, General Hospital spoilers say Alexis facing a three-year sentence – and that can only mean bad news for Nikolas. It’s a lose-lose situation when you look at the possible outcomes.
Let’s say Nikolas is successful and reunites Cyrus with his mother. Why would Cyrus want to give up someone as competent as Nikolas for an employee?
Especially when Nikolas is family, which Cyrus is very interested in bonding with. If Nikolas balks, he could land in grave danger for going against Cyrus’ wishes.
On the flip side, let’s say Nikolas can’t find Florence and fails. Nikolas could be in just as much danger as Alexis if Cyrus retaliates. Working for Cyrus at all could lead to Nikolas landing in a perilous situation.
Of course, danger can be a powerful motivator for families to reconnect. Spencer might want to reconnect with Nikolas if he’s faced with the prospect of losing him for real this time.
Nikolas’ faked death was brutal for Spencer, so he’d be terrified by the thought of Nikolas being snuffed out permanently.
This could also lead to Spencer getting on board with Ava and Nikolas’ marriage. If Spencer sees the genuine love and concern Ava has for Nikolas in a time of crisis, it could go a long way toward helping him approve of their relationship.
Naturally, we have to consider Nikolas’ comment about Spencer growing up and being on the verge of graduation. We need to consider the timing as well since it’s April and May is just around the corner. It seems likely a slightly aged Spencer Cassadine recast will finally show up for May sweeps.
Spencer may be on hand for whatever dangerous drama’s in Nikolas’ future thanks to Cyrus. We’ll offer updates as other GH details emerge.
