General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) cemetery encounter will bring Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) awful Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) guilt. Nina may be tempted to confess that Michael’s dad is alive after witnessing his grief.
On June 24, Nina will bump into Michael as he’s visiting some of his dead loved ones. Michael will be reflecting on some difficult losses, so that’ll no doubt include Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig), Mike Corbin (Max Gail) as well as Sonny.
Of course, Sonny’s death is the most recent loss that Michael’s family has had to face. That wound is the freshest and the hardest since the Corinthos clan never had a corpse for closure.
They were forced to move ahead with the memorial service quickly to show Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was in charge. It was a safety issue since Jason didn’t want it to look like he was waiting for Sonny to resurface.
However, that also meant Michael and his loved ones weren’t able to properly mourn. In some ways, Sonny’s death may not feel real to them, which is fitting since he’s not actually dead!
GH fans know Sonny is living a new life as “Mike” in Nixon Falls – and Nina knows that, too.
That’s why it’ll be difficult for Nina when she crosses paths with Michael in the cemetery. Nina visits Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) grave pretty often, but this cemetery visit may be about talking to Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) grave instead.
It would add to the awkwardness of all this since Michael hated Nelle’s guts and can’t really be all that sorry she’s gone.
Even so, Michael will always be grateful for Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), who wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for Nelle. Michael can’t regret his involvement with Nelle entirely for that reason alone.
Michael can also respect that Nina was robbed of a chance to know her daughter and might’ve made a difference in Nelle’s life if she’d known the truth sooner.
This cemetery encounter could bring an opportunity for Michael and Nina to reach a real understanding – not one that’s prompted by Jasper “Jax” Jacks’ (Ingo Rademacher) blackmail. P
erhaps Michael will start to see another side of Nina and give her a true shot at proving herself with Wiley.
Regardless, Nina may also hear Michael talk about his grief over losing Sonny. There might even be a moment where Nina stands back and overhears Michael talking to his “dead” dad.
Nina may face more guilt than ever since she has the power to reunite Sonny with the people who love him so much.
General Hospital spoilers suggest Nina will wrestle with her Sonny secret and battle temptation when it comes to confessing. Nina will ultimately keep her mouth shut, but she may decide it’s not the best idea to return to Sonny like she planned!
