General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) could face a raging Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Caleb and Kyler Ends) war. Will this grandpa fight for Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) role in her grandson’s life and push for pity?
Sonny had an initial outburst when he realized Nina had kept quiet about his true identity, but he’s settled down now – so much so that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) doesn’t understand.
Jason just doesn’t get why Sonny isn’t more outraged about Nina’s betrayal, but that’s because Sonny fell hard for Nina in Nixon Falls.
Sonny offered plenty of other excuses, but GH fans know lingering love is a factor here – and it could be a factor in the Wiley drama that’ll inevitably come next.
Nina herself expects to be cut off from Wiley and made sure to squeeze that last visit in as a result.
However, that may not be the end of Nina’s time with Wiley if Sonny has anything to say about it.
When Sonny was living as “Mike,” he listened to Nina gush over Wiley and heard how much she wanted to be part of her grandson’s life.
Sonny may not think it’s appropriate to use a child to punish Nina, especially when Wiley really likes Nina and wants to spend time with her, too. What will it really solve by keeping Nina at a distance?
It won’t give Sonny those months back, so that might be a point he makes to Michael and even Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).
Two wrongs don’t make a right – and Sonny may indeed feel it’d be wrong to destroy Nina’s bond with Wiley.
Sonny might argue that if he can get past what Nina did and push for more Wiley visits, then Michael and Carly should be able to put their anger aside, too.
Nevertheless, Michael and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) are ultimately the ones who get to make the decision.
As Wiley’s parents, Willow and Michael are in charge of who’s allowed to see him. Michael may find it tough to muster the compassion Sonny wants him to have early on.
Even so, Sonny might convince Michael to allow Nina and Wiley visits in the end.
Carly isn’t going to approve, but Sonny may contend that Wiley’s needs have to come first – and he needs all the love and support he can get.
