General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) memories will start coming back to him in dreams, but he won’t be able to get the full picture of his past and the people in it.
It’s possible Sonny’s memories will eventually flood back and let him know where home is, but there are other ways to get Sonny back in Port Charles.
Officer Ralph Finchley (Tatum Shank) recently swiped Sonny’s mug to run his fingerprints through the system.
That brings an opportunity for a match between “Mike” and the infamous mobster known as Sonny Corinthos! Many GH fans have already been surprised that nobody’s recognized Sonny since he’s supposedly so well-known.
Even if something happens to prevent Officer Finchley’s fingerprint plans, someone else could recognize Sonny at some point and let him know who he really is. In other words, Sonny doesn’t necessarily need his memories to get home.
General Hospital spoilers suggest Sonny just needs a little push in the direction of PC and the people he used to care about.
It’d bring some interesting moments if Sonny returned to PC while still battling amnesia. Sonny would have to “meet” Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and the rest of his family members again. He’d try to fit in his old life, which would be tough since “Mike” has grown accustomed to his new humdrum one.
Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) joked about how maybe Sonny has a whole mob under him, which got a chuckle from Sonny – who suggested anything’s possible! However, it may be no laughing matter to Sonny after he realizes he’s an actual mob boss.
“Mike” seems like the kind of guy who’d want no part of that dangerous, drama-filled lifestyle. This could lead to some clashing between Sonny and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) once they reconnect down the road.
Sonny may insist Jason should just go right on running the organization, but Jason might think it’ll put Sonny’s family at risk if he’s back and doesn’t take over again. It could once again be viewed as a sign of weakness and leave them vulnerable for attacks.
If “Mike” doesn’t have his memories when he returns to Port Charles, that could bring a whole new set of challenges! We’ll bring you updates as other GH news emerges.
