General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, August 30, teases that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will face Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) revenge while Peter August (Wes Ramsey) confesses to Sonny Corinthos – though he won’t give the whole story. There’ll also be some hints about Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) new man, so let’s talk about what’s coming up.
At The Tan-O, Sonny will get agitated with Peter, who’ll be way too interested in knowing where Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is every minute of the day.
Peter will apologize, but Sonny won’t think Peter seems sorry for much of anything at all!
After Peter suggests “Mike” is a very perceptive man, he’ll suggest that perhaps it was one of Sonny’s gifts before his memory loss.
Sonny will point out that Peter had a strong reaction when he first showed up, so he’ll ask if Peter knows who he is.
Peter will smile smugly and insist that as a matter of fact, he does. Of course, Peter may not reveal anything more – or maybe he’ll just make up a phony story of how he knows “Mike” instead.
Whatever the case, Peter will push Sonny’s buttons and make him even more of an enemy.
Once Peter reconvenes with Nina, he’ll get updates on the St. Lucia lead – which is actually some false info that’s being dangled as bait.
Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) hopes to reel Peter in and kill him for real this time, but Nina has to make him believe the clue first.
Peter is understandably hesitant to trust Nina, so he’ll warn about the consequences of double-crossing him.
However, Nina will insist she wouldn’t dream of it and will hope Peter’s on his way to an early grave soon enough.
Back in Port Charles, Liesl and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will discuss how Peter must be found.
Obrecht won’t share what she’s learned from Nina or the deadly plan she’s putting in motion, but she’ll agree with Anna’s willingness to kill Peter if need be.
Look for Anna to deliver Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) file to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) as well – and then Dante will show Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) some intriguing info it contains.
With any luck, Sam may prove the plane crash didn’t end Drew’s life. She’ll hopefully take steps forward finding the foreign prison Drew’s stuck in, even if they’re just slow and steady ones.
GH fans can also expect a mess at Deception as Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) makes some outrageous demands on the job. It’ll be up to Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) to gain control of the situation.
At the Metro Court pool, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will set up a little visit between Maxie and “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom).
Brook Lynn will also feel like a particular guy is quite interested in Maxie, so that could be Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth).
Austin seems poised to potentially be Maxie’s new love interest, but she might dismiss that possibility for now. As for Brook Lynn, she might adopt a “keep your friends close and your enemies closer” attitude.
Brook Lynn hates the newest member of the Quartermaine clan, but she might think he’d be less insufferable and easier to control if he was dating Maxie.
Nevertheless, Maxie will remain uneasy since Austin delivered her baby and works as a pediatrician at GH.
The idea of Austin putting the “Bailey” aka Louise puzzle will terrify her, so Maxie may think Brook Lynn should just forget about any potential romance.
Next, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will boast about Jason’s reputation and try to make sure her fiancé seems like a true force to be reckoned with.
While Carly’s meeting with a mob family leader, Jason will turn his attention to a crisis. He’ll learn from Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) that Cyrus likely has a devastating scheme in mind.
Since Cyrus has resorted to kidnappings, restaurant bombings and hostage situations in the past, Jason will have some good reasons to fear for the Corinthos organization and his united family with Carly.
Jason will have to be ready in case Cyrus delivers a vengeful blow, so we’ll fill you in as other news becomes available.
