General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, December 13 Update – Baby Liam’s Permanent Vegetative State – Peter Murder Investigation

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, December 13, teases that Baby Liam Corbin will get a prognosis involving a permanent vegetative state while a Peter August (Wes Ramsey) murder attempt investigation begins. There’ll be some heartbreaking moments as well as some big surprises happening in Port Charles.

At GH, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattson) will expect good news, but they’ll get the worst news possible instead.

Liam’s EEG results will reveal that he has no brain function. Without any brain activity going on, Liam’s quality of life would involve living in a permanent vegetative state.

Sasha will feel like there must be something the doctors can do. She won’t want to accept this is the end of the road and will perhaps argue that Liam can overcome this somehow.

However, Brando will slowly realize this is a death sentence for their son. There’s no flicker of activity at all when it comes to Liam’s brain, so the story now becomes about finding a way to say goodbye.

Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will be as sensitive as she can be under the circumstances. She’ll allude to some choices that still have to be made, so that’ll lead to a conversation about taking Liam off life support.

Sasha still won’t want to hear any of this, so it’ll be up to Brando to gently nudge her toward understanding what has to be done.

Meanwhile, it looks like Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) will urge Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) to hold off on visiting Sasha since she’ll need time to cope.

At The Savoy, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will catch up with an old buddy of his.

Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will no doubt embrace Drew and express gratitude that he made it home in one piece – unlike Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), who’s dead because of Peter’s chain reaction.

Curtis will mention something about the devil, so he might think Peter’s deserving of that title by now.

While Curtis and Drew trade updates, Elizabeth “Liz” Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will talk to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) about Jason’s demise.

Liz will point out that Jake Webber (Hudson West) was still grieving the loss of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), but now he’s being forced to grieve Jason, too. She’ll hate that Jake lost both his stepfather and father because of Peter’s wickedness.

Finn will take Liz’s hand as he wishes there was something he could do.

Once Peter’s rushed to GH following his poisoned breakfast, Liz will hope the guy croaks! She’ll beg Finn to tell her Peter isn’t going to make it, but Peter should escape death once again.

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will also get a call about Peter’s ordeal, so she may think Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) lied about not being able to target Peter in prison.

General Hospital spoilers say Anna will have plenty of questions about this murder by poison attempt, but let’s hope Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) stays out of trouble!

Speaking of Brady, it looks like Sonny will fill Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) in on his latest agreement with Selina Wu (Lydia Look).

Sonny agreed to get his guy on the parole board to vote Brad’s way in exchange for a Wu hit on Peter. It’s not ideal, but Sonny will feel like he did what he had to do.

Sonny will apparently keep his mouth shut about falling hard for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in Nixon Falls, so that’s a shocker that’ll come out down the road. Until then, Stella Henry (Vernee Henry) may face a bombshell of her own.

Stella will be on a mission to find out what’s up with TJ Ashford’s (Tajh Bellow) uncle, so she’ll be on the verge of hearing the whole Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) story.

Whether Stella gets that story from TJ or has to grill Curtis instead, Stella won’t rest until she has all the facts.

Next, Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) will take some time out of her busy college schedule to reconnect with her mom. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will appreciate the breakfast meeting and the opportunity to help Trina solve a crisis.

That could relate to Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and the cabin trip that Trina’s set to go on with the rest of the gang.

Trina just has to keep her cool and focus on her friends rather than Esme’s attempts to push all the right buttons.

General Hospital spoilers say Esme still has a few tricks up her sleeve, so keep watching.
