General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, February 8, reveal that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) conferred with Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) about Franco’s radiation treatment at the hospital.
Franco and Elizabeth then bumped into Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and informed him that they couldn’t attend his wedding.
Finn surmised that Elizabeth and Franco didn’t want to be around Peter August (Wes Ramsey), and that led to a discussion of how Peter got hold of Franco’s private medical records.
Franco realized that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) must have given Peter access somehow, and just then Terry appeared to say that the technician for Franco’s radiation treatment was refusing to treat him.
Elsewhere in the hospital, Britt was quizzed by Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) about Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) whereabouts. Anna pressed Britt, but Britt didn’t let on that she had seen her mother or knew where she was.
Britt taunted Anna a bit about her WSB status, pointing out that there must be some reason why the WSB didn’t trust her enough to tell her about Liesl’s whereabouts.
Later, Elizabeth ran into Britt and blasted her about giving Peter access to Franco’s medical records.
Britt said that she wasn’t willingly involved, and just then Terry approached Elizabeth to say that Franco’s treatment started and that she had gotten another radiology technician to do the treatment.
Britt said that the technician who refused to treat Franco would be fired.
Elsewhere, Anna found Finn and fumed about Britt’s assumption that the WSB didn’t trust her. Finn and Anna assumed that could be because of Peter. Anna said that she was going to go find Liesl right now, and Finn balked but then said that he would accompany Anna.
Anna eventually agreed, saying that Liesl was potentially lethal.
In Hungary, a man wearing a wedding ring held Alex Devane Marick’s (Finola Hughes) last will and testament. The man put a flash drive in a little envelope labeled “For Peter,” and then put that envelope into a larger manilla envelope.
The envelope was addressed to Peter and the return address was from “D. Marick.” Dimitri Marick (Michael Nader) is Alex’s husband although they were reported to be divorced.
At the cemetery, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) told Peter that his life was about to unravel. Valentin badgered Peter, wondering if he framed Liesl like Liesl claimed. Eventually, Peter admitted to framing Liesl, and he admitted to sabotaging Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) plane and killing the OR gunman.
Peter explained that it was all necessary, then he asked what Valentin was going to do with this information.
Valentin urged Peter to confess so that Liesl had no power over him, but Peter refused, saying that he had a daughter coming and that he didn’t want to break Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) and Anna’s hearts. Valentin agreed to stay silent about everything for Peter.
Elsewhere in the cemetery, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) put flowers on Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) and Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) gravesites.
Carly and Josslyn had a long talk about death and about Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier), who wasn’t buried that far away.
Off-screen, Carly told Josslyn all about how Nelle was Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) daughter and how she and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) hid the truth from Nina to protect her.
Josslyn reflected on what it means to lie to someone to protect them, and she and Carly supported each other about Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) death.
At the Tan-O Bar, Sonny talked briefly with Nina on the phone, saying that his name was “Mike.”
Nina asked to speak with Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy), and once Phyllis was on the phone, Nina shared that she may have found her daughter and that she had some questions for Phyllis, but Phyllis said that she couldn’t get away right now.
Nina, who was at Crimson, hung up with Phyllis just as Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) was walking in. Nina shared that her daughter was Nelle, and off-screen Ava got filled in about Carly and Jax’s big lie and how Nina found out that Nelle was her daughter.
Ava gently reminded Nina that Nelle was a violent killer.
But Nina insisted that Nelle was once an innocent child, and she thought that perhaps the overdose of antidepressants that Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills) gave her might have caused Nelle’s psychosis.
Ava urged Nina to realize that there was nothing that she could have done to have prevented how Nelle turned out.
Nina said that may be true, and that she failed Nelle, but that she wouldn’t fail Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson). Ava said that Nina didn’t have proof that Wiley was her grandson, and that she might want to start with a DNA test on him.
Ava pointed out that it could be a long, ugly fight to get access to Wiley, and that perhaps Nina should make sure that Nelle was her daughter first.
Back at the Tan-O Bar, Phyllis told Sonny the story of Nina and her child, and about her role in depriving Nina of her daughter. Sonny reassured Phyllis that Madeline lied to her, and he said that he’d be fine if Phyllis took a trip to go see Nina.
Phyllis then called Nina to tell her that she was going to Port Charles, and Sonny mused that maybe someday Phyllis could help him find out who he was.
