General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, January 18, teases that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will have a feeling that she just can’t shake. Carly knows all signs point to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) being dead and gone, but her instincts may suggest otherwise.
In her heart, Carly may still feel a familiar connection – a pull to an alive Sonny somewhere far from home.
It looks like Carly may confide this feeling to Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), but he might argue it’s only natural to cling to hope. Jax won’t blame Carly for doubting Sonny’s death, but he may remind her to face the facts. This conversation might bring Jax’s push for Carly to let go.
General Hospital spoilers say Carly will make a choice on Monday that breaks her heart. That could mean making arrangements for a memorial service. Carly may buy into this idea that she has to fully grieve and move on.
As for Jax, seeing what Carly’s going through may make him want to seize the day. GH fans can expect Jax and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to move their romance along in Monday’s episode.
Nina will be curious when someone brings a proposition to her at Crimson. Jax might think they should officially live together and savor every moment they can.
General Hospital spoilers hint that Jax may have engagement plans down the road, but he’ll probably want to put a little more time and effort into a proposal. For now, just cohabitating with Nina and growing closer to her will be enough.
GH will inch Nina and Jax further together so it’ll be even more brutal when they implode. That day’s indeed coming since Jax is hiding the truth about Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) and her bio daughter link to Nina.
Jax is also covering up the details of Nelle’s cliff fall and Carly’s involvement, so he’s sitting on several bombshells.
Next, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will get some inspiration that points her in the direction of trouble.
There’ll be some suggestion that Ava receives and latches onto. Perhaps Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) or someone else will suggest going to the jewelry repair shop to pick up the necklace Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) wants.
If Carly won’t cooperate, there’s no need to wait around. However, Carly can’t tell Ava where to go since the necklace never went to a jewelry repair shop at all. Carly could get caught in a lie if she’s not careful, so maybe she should think about shifting gears and insisting the necklace is lost.
Of course, it’s also possible Ava’s idea will lead her to Nina’s office, where Nina might be admiring her half-heart pendant. This could put the necklace fresh in Ava’s mind for later.
If that necklace falls into Ava’s hands, he may put the puzzle pieces together just like Carly did and realize Nelle is Nina’s biological daughter.
Nevertheless, the Nelle shocker should stay hidden for now. GH spoilers say Ava will take steps toward this secret, but there’s nothing to indicate she’ll figure it out just yet.
Meanwhile, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will seek answers about where Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) has been and what she’s been doing. With Tracy, Ned always suspects she’s been up to no good!
Tracy will be back from a visit to Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) house, so Ned may think his mother’s playing with fire here. If Tracy really wants to help Ned, he may warn her to just butt out and keep her mouth shut.
Naturally, it’s a little late for that since Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) know Tracy must be lying. Now Olivia and Sam just have to figure out why.
As part of that plan, Olivia will meet with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) to inquire about some spy strategies. Robert is a pro at this sort of thing, so Olivia will wonder if he can help her out.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will pick up on something strange. Cameron Webber (William Lipton) will talk about the journal Joss discarded, but Josslyn will insist she did no such thing. She’ll wonder why Cameron thinks she tossed her journal in the trash.
Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) will be there to assist Cam and Joss as they try to sort through the mess Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) left behind. Will Josslyn and Cameron realize they were both duped? General Hospital spoilers say Dev’s plot will be revealed to the rest of the teens sooner or later.
As for Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), she’ll tell Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) that it’s finally time to find out what they mean to each other. Michael and Willow will have an emotional conversation about where things stand between them.
Although Willow and Michael certainly have deep feelings, they’ll decide the situation’s just too complicated to remain married.
Willow has to fully explore her lingering love for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and she can’t do that if she’s still Michael’s wife. Likewise, Michael might want to pursue a romance with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) again.
It’ll be obvious that Willow and Michael don’t really want to end the marriage, but they’ll choose to put pen to paper and make this annulment official anyway.
Finally, Sonny will handle that bar robbery like a boss! He may not have his memories, but he’ll find a way to take charge – even after the robber makes vicious threats.
Sonny will come through for Lenny Caulfield by assisting with this thug’s takedown. Once the guy’s gun is yanked away, it’ll be a huge relief to Lenny and Phyllis Caulfield (Juliette Jeffries).
This will only further convince Phyllis that “Mike” is a good soul. Lenny will have to agree that “Mike” is all right in his book. Sonny agreed to wash dishes to earn his keep, but Lenny might promote him to bartender as a reward for his robbery thwarting efforts.
Regardless, Sonny will appreciate having a job and a roof over his head. He’ll settle into his room upstairs and keep trying to remember who he really is. We’ll provide updates as other GH news pops up.
