General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, July 19, tease that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will have a violent outburst while Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) get a flirting do-over. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will also say a heartfelt farewell to “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom).
At GH, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will have a tense conversation with Maxie, who’ll feel like Austin could blow their whole story wide open.
Brook Lynn will likely downplay Austin as a threat and argue that he’s more focused on ELQ drama than the baby she’s trying to pass off as her own.
However, it’s clear that Brook Lynn’s also worried deep down. Brook Lynn will have to hold down the fort alone since Maxie’s headed to Texas, but she’ll offer plenty of reassurance before Maxie goes.
Maxie will also get a little more bonding time with “Bailey” aka Louise, so this will serve as a sad farewell – but it’ll really just be so long for now.
In Manhattan, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will tell Valentin that this could be the way to track Peter August (Wes Ramsey) down – and the way she’s referring to should still be this pilot meeting.
Anna found out that David Hopkins was likely at Ryan’s Bar, which she was hanging out at earlier with Valentin.
Although Anna wanted to go alone, Valentin insisted on being her wingman.
Even so, Anna is indeed going to fly solo on this meeting somewhat while Valentin hangs back – just to make sure she’s all right.
While Anna subtly pumps David for information, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will assure Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that she’ll be there for the gang back in Nixon Falls.
Now that Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) knows he has cancer on top of his heart troubles, they all need Nina more than ever.
“Mike” just called Nina from the hospital to ask if she’d come home, so she’ll naturally agree.
There’s no way Nina can leave Sonny, Lenny and Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) to deal with all this alone.
Nina may have to tie up some loose ends first, but she’ll indeed plan to meet up with Sonny and the Caulfields later in the week.
Until then, Nina will make a phone call and try to set up a special surprise. It sounds like Nina will want something that might bring Lenny and Phyllis some comfort once they’re back at The Tan-O.
Since Phyllis and Lenny have done so much for Nina, she’ll want to do something for them in return.
At the Metro Court pool, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) will help Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) apply some sunscreen as they catch some rays and grow closer.
Now that Joss and Cam have agreed to enter romantic territory, it opens up some fun possibilities for the summer.
Josslyn will eventually deliver the news about the shift in her relationship with Cameron, so Trina’s in for a shock!
In the meantime, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will dismiss the stalker’s behavior as scare tactics and nothing more.
Nevertheless, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will try to act like this might be a bigger deal than Nikolas thinks.
Spencer will obviously just be playing mind games since he’s the one behind the stalker threat, but he’ll hope he can convince Nikolas to stick to the divorce for safety’s sake.
Nikolas will have some sort of plan that gets shut down on Monday’s episode, so we’ll see if that involves Spencer or perhaps Austin.
It turns out Ava will get another chance to flirt with Austin and get to know him a bit better.
Ava should be sober and calmer this time around, so that’ll make the conversation more pleasant.
Austin and Ava might have some couple potential, so stay tuned to see what happens down the road.
Back with Valentin, he’ll end up attacking someone and threatening to break his wrists.
