General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, June 28 Recap – Austin’s Jason Secret, Teams Up with Scott – Gladys Accuses Gold Digger Sasha

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, June 28, reveals that Austin (Roger Howarth) hinted at a shady Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) secret and teamed up with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner). Meanwhile, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) accused gold-digger Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) after Sasha chose to mess with her.

In the Pautauk forest on Monday’s episode, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) looked for clues and speculated.

They got Austin’s take on the kidnapping situation before he had to take off for a meeting out of town. Anna thought Austin seemed familiar, but she couldn’t quite place him.

Although Anna pushed Valentin to head home to his daughters, he refused to leave her alone in the woods.

Meanwhile, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) left “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) a voicemail to say she missed him and looked at a picture of them together on her phone.

Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) caught the look on Nina’s face and fished for details about who Nina had obviously fallen for.

Nina dodged questions about her love life and was happy to be visiting Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), but she didn’t know where her home was anymore.

Meanwhile, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) had a supportive chat with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). A little later, Scott wound up spilling the beans to Laura about Ava and Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) divorce.

Ava assured Scott that she wasn’t after any money and told Laura about the threat to Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) being the reason behind the split.

As for Nikolas, he took his anger out on the punching bag at the boxing gym before heading to the Metro Court.

After a brief brush with Ava, Nikolas talked to Laura about Ava’s divorce decision. Laura understood Ava’s choice under the circumstances, but Nikolas refused to give up and intended to set a trap for the stalker.

Back with Austin, he met with Scott for their appointment and stuck with “just Austin” when asked his last name. Austin pointed out Scott must be familiar with the families of Port Charles, so Scott wondered why that would interest him.

Austin brought up Jason Morgan’s name and asked what Scott could tell him.

Scott seemed tired of the games, so Austin finally suggested he could just tell Scott what he specifically wanted to know and then Scott could share if he was interested.

After Austin told Scott off screen, Scott was most definitely intrigued. Scott called this a once in a lifetime opportunity and told Austin they were going to ride this all the way!

Over with Maxie again, she seemed hurt to find out she wasn’t invited to the Deception meeting. Maxie found out from Nina, who invited her to come if she was feeling up to it.

At GH, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) was there to take Gladys home when he spotted Sasha nearby.

Brando worried something was wrong with the baby, but it was just a routine appointment. Sasha claimed it didn’t occur to her to fill Brando in, so he admitted he’d like to be kept in the loop on all the baby stuff.

Brando also found out Sasha was nervous about filling Nina in on her pregnancy. She knew their relationship was fragile and didn’t want to do anything to rock the boat. Gladys was quite eager to hear about who Sasha used to be once she was wheeled over.

While Brando was dealing with some paperwork for his mom, Gladys pushed Sasha to level with her about the game she was playing. Sasha decided to have some fun by acting like she intentionally got knocked up by Brando.

Sasha pretended Brando was the next best thing to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and put her a step closer to all that Corinthos cash.

Gladys flew into a rage and ranted about Sasha being a gold digger. Sasha laughed and revealed she was just messing with Gladys, but the tension remained as Brando rejoined the conversation.

After Sasha took a raincheck on coffee, she dashed off to her Deception meeting.

Before Sasha arrived, Nina surprised Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) by bringing in Maxie. Lucy argued that Maxie couldn’t be there, so Maxie guessed this was about planning a surprise party to cheer her up.

Lucy played along in hopes of convincing Maxie to leave, but it was too late when Sasha came in with her very visible baby bump.

At the Corinthos home, Brick (Stephen A. Smith) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) convinced Jason to let a team handle the Novak retaliation instead of doing it himself.

Brick argued that the competition would keep attacking until they sent a message that only one of them was in charge.

Jason let Carly know that peace wasn’t an option. They would just have to keep escalating the situation whenever they were attacked and show their enemies that a takeover would be too expensive to pursue.

Later, Ava showed up to let Carly know she wouldn’t be returning to Wyndemere with Avery and that she was getting a divorce from Nikolas.

As Ava talked about marriage being like a performance, she described how it was a legally binding contract to unite two people as one.

Ava mentioned how enemies would be striking at both parties before she went upstairs to see Avery. Carly looked at Jason and asked if he was thinking what she was thinking, so clearly the seed of a marriage idea had been planted.

As other GH news emerges, we’ll provide updates. General Hospital spoilers say Jason and Carly could be getting in over their heads with such a big step, but that’s indeed where the story’s headed.

CDL will have other hot General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so drop by regularly.
