General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, March 22, reveals that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) interrupted Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) conversation about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) with an accusation.
Valentin argued that Jax’s little talk with Nina drove her right out of town!
Valentin took a dig about Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) arrest before sauntering off, so Jax wanted the scoop from Carly afterward. Carly shut down the idea that Jason had actually killed Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) and insisted she couldn’t lose him like Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Jax offered reassurance that he’d be there for Carly no matter what – and so would her family.
Carly noted that since Nina left Port Charles right after her conversation with Jax, it meant her emotions were still strong. Carly felt like Jax still had a chance with Nina and urged him to go after her, but Jax wasn’t sure where Nina went.
At The Tan-O on Monday’s GH episode, Nina filled Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) in on how she saw the Nixon Falls exit and took it as a literal sign she should come see Phyllis.
They discussed the complicated Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) situation and how Jax had been protecting his ex when he didn’t tell her the truth about Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) death.
Nina went on a lengthy rant about Carly, but she eventually acknowledged that Carly had been having a rough time, too. Nina mentioned to Phyllis that Carly’s husband died just before Christmas suddenly and tragically – that he just vanished.
Phyllis felt like Nina should be near people who care about her right now and offered up her guest bedroom back home. Nina didn’t want to impose and felt she could use her passport to travel anywhere, but she left that passport behind on the table when she left.
In Sonny’s room, he dreamed of the mystery blonde again and wondered aloud who she was when he woke up. Sonny returned to the bar area right after Nina left and found out an old friend of Phyllis’ had been there.
After Sonny found Nina’s passport, he assured Phyllis that he’d catch up with her pal. Suddenly, Nina returned after realizing she’d forgotten the passport. She locked eyes with Sonny and looked stunned to see him.
Back in Port Charles, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) went over the latest Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) drama and shared their mutual concerns about Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).
Soon after, Valentin spoke with Olivia alone and hoped she could help him convince Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) to get along for the baby’s sake.
Valentin suggested that since Sonny and Julian Jerome (William deVry) were gone, Olivia must be wishing her sons could’ve had more time with their fathers.
Olivia fired back about how Leo Falconeri (Aaron Bradshaw) would’ve been better never knowing Julian at all, but Valentin thought he was a far better man than Julian.
At Maxie’s apartment, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) showed up for an at-home baby checkup and struggled to steady herself due to hand tremors.
Next on Monday’s General Hospital episode, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) arrived and wanted Maxie to let him in, but she argued that she needed more time.
When Peter tried to use his key to open the door, he realized the lock had been changed and wondered why Maxie would do that. Britt shouted at Peter to stop harassing Maxie, but Maxie convinced her not to call the cops.
Once Maxie let Peter in, he ranted about Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) trying to kill him. Peter argued that Dante would’ve succeed if Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) hadn’t come along.
Peter tried to act like Dante was a threat to Maxie and the baby, but Britt wondered why Peter didn’t call the police if he was supposedly so terrified.
Peter suggested he did that for Maxie since she wouldn’t want Dante locked up. Robert eventually arrived and pushed “Heinrik” to leave – and Maxie piped up about how all this stress wasn’t good for the baby.
When Peter finally left, he insisted he was doing it for the sake of Maxie and their baby.
Afterward, Maxie realized she needed to make her own move to deal with Peter. As for Peter himself, he made his way to the Metro Court and lashed out at Valentin for his role in confusing Maxie about her feelings.
Peter also taunted Olivia about Dante’s mental issues since he just came after Peter with a gun.
Olivia panicked and wondered where Dante was now, so Peter suggested that if Sam had any sense she took Dante to the hospital. Once Olivia rushed out, Valentin was appalled with Peter for terrorizing Olivia.
Valentin suggested that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) couldn’t have done it better himself, so Peter threw back in Valentin’s face that he was the one to deliver Peter to his father.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) couldn’t find Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) at the gatehouse, so he showed up looking for her at the main house. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) opened up and supported Chase in the aftermath of the paternity scandal.
Meanwhile, Brook Lynn pushed Ned to relax since she had a plan to deal with Valentin. Once Chase came in the living room, Brook Lynn showed off her baby bump and got a shocked reaction.
Brook Lynn insisted that her baby needed a father, so Chase was flustered until Brook Lynn burst out laughing.
Brook Lynn was only kidding about Chase stepping up as a dad. Talk turned to Chase’s complicated reconnection with Willow and how her feelings for Michael had been an issue.
Chase wondered if Brook Lynn was going to give her baby up for adoption and advised her to really think about it before she did.
As for Michael, he revealed to Ned that Valentin had offered up control of Danny Morgan (Porter Fasullo) and Scout Cain’s (Ella Ramacieri) ELQ stock.
Ned found out that all Michael had to do was agree to let Nina see Wiley, so he was irked that they didn’t discuss this before Michael turned Valentin down.
Michael maintained that his son wasn’t for sale and argued that he wouldn’t use his child like that. Ned got a look of realization and felt there was someone else who might.
Once Ned reconvened with Brook Lynn, he assumed that he knew what she was doing – that she was using her baby as leverage to get ELQ back.
