General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, May 17 Recap – Cyrus Orders Brando to Find Sasha Baby Daddy – Peter Restraining Order

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, May 17, reveals that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) ordered Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) to find Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) “baby daddy” while Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) threatened Peter August (Wes Ramsey) with a restraining order.

At the Quartermaine mansion on Monday’s episode, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) made it clear that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) wasn’t moving in. However, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) thought it was a fantastic idea and argued it’d help to keep Brook Lynn safe along with the baby.

In a moment alone with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Monica admitted she had ulterior motives for giving Brook Lynn this nudge. She felt she could keep an eye on Valentin this way.

Monica’s priorities were Brook Lynn and her unborn child, but she was still looking out for ELQ’s best interests. Brook Lynn ultimately relented on Valentin’s move-in, though she insisted she had some conditions.

At GH, Elizabeth gave Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) a pep talk about figuring out a solution for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). Liz also admitted that Peter had sent reporters to their home and they’d been hounding Cameron Webber (William Lipton) for a statement.

Later, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) found out Finn told Liz the truth about Peter killing Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). Finn felt Elizabeth had a right to know considering Cameron nearly shot Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) over Franco’s murder.

Meanwhile, Peter and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) managed to delay Dr. Sofia Navarro (Christina Ferraro) on inducing labor. Although Dr. Navarro felt it was the right call, it was ultimately Maxie and Peter’s decision – though Dr. Navarro would have to insist if the baby didn’t arrive by Maxie’s due date.

Afterward, Maxie told Peter to let “Chloe Jennings” (Kimberly J. Brown) that she’d meet up with her at the car. Peter exited and got on the phone with “Chloe” to let her know she just had to get Maxie out of Port Charles without anyone knowing.

Liz wound up confronting Peter about sending the reporters to her house, but he smugly argued it might be cathartic for Cameron to tell his story. Elizabeth insisted she’d get a restraining order if Peter or his people came near her kids again and would have Peter thrown in jail for harassment.

As for Maxie, she was cornered by Anna in the exam room. Anna wanted to help Maxie flee Port Charles until Peter could be dealt with, but Maxie argued that Peter would come looking for her. Besides, it could put Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) in danger.

Maxie felt she had to handle things herself and was in the room when Tiffany Donely (Sharon Wyatt) returned a call to Anna. Although Anna had been hoping for Sean Donely’s (John Reilly) help, she received the terrible news that he had just passed away.

Anna gave Maxie updates since Sean was her godfather, so Maxie was visibly upset and hugged Anna as they teared up.

At the Metro Court, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) wondered “what the hell” Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) was talking about when she kept babbling on about fatherhood.

Gladys suggested Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) was carrying Cyrus’ child, but he assured Gladys that wasn’t the case and scolded her from getting info from Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) the town gossip.

Next, Sasha wasn’t keen on spilling anything to Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) about her strange behavior – especially not with Cyrus lurking nearby. After Sasha walked off, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) suggested that maybe Brando should do what Sasha asks and give her some space.

Carly also lashed out at Gladys, who wondered what she’d done to deserve such hostility. Carly insisted that Gladys backed the wrong horse before joining Sasha in the restroom.

After Sasha admitted to being pregnant with Brando’s baby, she felt she had to tell him the truth at some point. Carly didn’t think so at all and argued that Sasha should make up another story.

Carly wanted Sasha to claim she was pregnant by a different man – or else Brando’s life could be in danger. Back with Brando, he had a tense meeting with Cyrus at a Metro Court table. Cyrus revealed that Sasha was pregnant, which stunned Brando.

After Cyrus chewed Brando out for not delivering any results on the job, he suggested he had an assignment to make up for it. Cyrus wanted Brando to find the father of Sasha’s child and bring him for a man-to-man chat.

In Nixon Falls, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) told Elijah Crowe (Dan White) that she came back to look for the earring she dropped. Nina pretended to find it and got out of there as quick as she could.

Elijah checked the printer records and realized Nina could know too much, but he told someone over the phone that he’d handle Nina himself.

Once Nina returned to The Tan-O, she was taken aback to see that “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had gotten out a gun. Sonny just wanted to protect Nina, but she liked him better without the weapon – and Sonny admitted he did, too.

They went over the records Nina had printed, which revealed a secret slush fund for Elijah’s shady activities.

Nina pointed out that they needed more evidence to take to the police. Sonny noticed a payment was made to Corinth and recalled Elijah gloating about a strip mall there.

Sonny wondered if Nina was up for a drive, but Nina brought Sonny’s attention to the gun that was still out on the bar. After Sonny put it back in the locked box, Nina seemed pleased and was ready for their trip.
