General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, May 3, reveals that Brick (Stephen A. Smith) was in the getaway car and all set to help Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) make his escape.
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) got reassurance from Brick as well as Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), who was there next to Carly.
Spinelli insisted that they were the only ones who’d see the live security cam footage. The GH security team would see footage looped from two days ago – and there’d be no video proof of what was about to go down.
Unfortunately, the plan hit a snag when Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) sauntered over to ask Brick some questions.
Brick’s cover story convinced Jordan, who headed up to Jason’s room and learned he was being taken for some tests. Jordan delayed Jason briefly to ask about the suspicious stabbing, but Jason wouldn’t say anything without his attorney.
Afterward, Jordan checked at the nurses’ station and found out Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) ordered the tests after Jason had been discharged.
Meanwhile, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) lurked around until he found up in Jason’s hospital room. Jason was gone and the guard was unconscious on the floor, so Cameron took off.
Jordan wound up back in Jason’s room soon after and saw the unconscious guard as well, so she knew Jason’s escape was in progress.
As for Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), she warned Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) that she’d have to spill about the vial she saw if Finn didn’t tell her the truth. Liz felt like her job was on the line and wouldn’t take no for an answer.
Finn finally admitted that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) had poisoned Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), so what Liz saw was the antidote.
On Monday’s General Hospital episode, Finn also confessed that Peter was the one who murdered Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) and explained it was due to the Drew Cain (Billy Miller) memories that were returning.
At Wyndemere, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) arrived with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) bearing flowers and dessert for the family dinner.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) also attended the get-together that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) hosted.
Nikolas played along and suggested he thought maybe he could help Cyrus call a truce with Laura. However, things took a tense turn once Cyrus brought up Spencer Cassadine (last played by Nicolas Bechtel).
Nikolas realized Cyrus was keeping tabs on Spencer and warned against it, but Cyrus argued that perhaps he could help the father and son make peace.
Laura had finally had enough, so she lashed out and made it clear to Cyrus that they weren’t family. After Cyrus and Martin left, Ava grumbled and wished Laura had been able to keep it together a bit longer.
Laura hoped Carly had enough time to pull off whatever her plan was. General Hospital spoilers say Cyrus and Laura’s feud will continue to stir up trouble, so stay tuned!
Over with Britt on Monday’s General Hospital episode, she saw Cyrus’ suspicious janitor again and assumed he was part of Carly’s plot. Britt warned the guy to keep a low-profile or else Cyrus would get wind of what was happening.
The phony janitor played along until he could call Cyrus, who got updates on something seemingly going down tonight. Cyrus instructed his minion to get rid of Britt and make it look like an overdose. He also wanted eyes on Jason right away.
Britt was ultimately ambushed by the janitor and another henchman, but Jason made a risky decision just before he got in the getaway car. He paused and had a flashback of Britt before deciding she might be in danger upstairs.
Carly and Spinelli freaked as Jason bolted back up, but it was the right call since he was able to rescue Britt from an OD. Jason attacked one guard while Britt kneed another one in the crotch.
Soon after, Jason and Britt were down in the parking garage together. Shots were fired as Cyrus’ men pursued them.
The security system started rebooting itself, so Spinelli’s access was suddenly denied – meaning that he couldn’t see what was happening with Jason. Spinelli also admitted that the footage would now be recorded.
Britt turned her ankle during the struggle upstairs at GH, but she hobbled along as Jason helped her. The hesitation gave Cameron a chance to pick up a gun that one of Cyrus’ men had dropped.
Cameron fired a shot at Jason’s back and wounded him, but Jason still made it in the getaway car with Britt.
As for Cameron, he pointed his gun and had a faceoff with an also armed Jordan. Meanwhile, Cyrus got more updates on Jason and Britt making their escape, so he obviously wasn’t happy about it!
At The Tan-O, Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) enjoyed some pasta – complete with some delicious sauce the bartender had made. Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) admitted they were a bar, not a restaurant. Even so, Phyllis couldn’t send Trina away hungry and even gave her a bottle of sauce for the road.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) called “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and confused him by insisting he needed to stay in his room. After Nina showed up and interacted with Trina briefly, she managed to get rid of her – just before “Mike” entered.
Nina opened up about how she was reluctant to walk away from her new life over a less-than-certain chance to spend time with her grandson. “Mike” understood since although he sometimes wondered about who he used to be, he liked the new life he’d found in Nixon Falls.
Sonny and Nina shared another moment where it looked like they might’ve kissed if they hadn’t been interrupted.
As for Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) forced her to call Carly and explain where she really was. Carly insisted that Jax needed to get Josslyn straight home, which left Jax a bit concerned about what was going down.
