General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, November 1 Recap – Britt Shoots Liesl – Peter’s Acid Burn – Maxie Panics Over Louise

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, November 1, reveals that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) accidentally shot Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) after Peter August (Wes Ramsey) faced an acid burn. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) also panicked over Louise August aka “Bailey Quartermaine” (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) being in danger, so here’s how it all played out on Monday’s episode.

On Cassadine Island, Britt complained to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) about the swim they’d just taken in their scuba gear. Once they were in dry clothes, Jason and Britt hid out in a boathouse that didn’t have foot traffic according to Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson).

There was an old boat that Jason thought they could fix up to get off the island, but they obviously had to get Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) before they could leave. Jason insisted on going off on his own, but he made sure Britt was set up with a gun before he left.

In a lab, Liesl woke up and learned Peter had kept her alive to get Maxie back. Obrecht wanted no part of conditioning Maxie to forgive Peter and wound up throwing a container of acid on him. Peter screamed in pain as Liesl made a break for it.

When Britt heard what she assumed was a guard outside the boathouse, she knocked her gun over and couldn’t find it in the dark. Britt grabbed a nearby harpoon gun instead and fired it before walking toward the door. She was horrified to see that she’d inadvertently shot a spear into Liesl’s chest.

As for Peter, he bandaged up his acid-burned hand before Jason appeared and pointed a gun at him. Back in Port Charles, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) filled Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) in on Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) call and how he wanted to set up a prison meeting.

When Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) joined Carly and Sonny at the Metro Court, they offered updates on the whole Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) situation.

It became apparent that Dante and Sam were a thing now, so Sonny and Carly basically offered their seal of approval. Later, Sonny revealed to Carly that he’d decided to grant Cyrus’ request for an in-person meeting.

Over with Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore), he joined Spinelli in a surveillance van. They discussed the special microphone that would pick up whatever was said on the pier, where Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) was confronting Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).

Nikolas assumed Spencer was wearing a wire and tried to pat him down for it, but Spencer pulled away and objected. He suggested this was about giving Nikolas a chance to say he didn’t arrange for Hayden Barnes’ (Rebecca Budig) murder, but he eventually realized his father really did it.

Nikolas demanded to know who put Spencer up to this and who was trying to turn his son against him. Shawn eventually showed up to reveal that he was the one.

At GH, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) raced to stop Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) from spilling too much to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). She barged in and dragged Gladys out after claiming she was drunk.

Brook Lynn scolded Gladys in the hall, but Gladys felt Valentin had a right to know the “trollop” was lying about the baby’s paternity.

Gladys argued that she couldn’t defend herself to Maxie and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) constantly, so she needed Brook Lynn to get her friends on board with her benefits.

Brook Lynn didn’t know how she was supposed to do that since Sasha and Maxie were also her bosses, but she placated Gladys for now by letting her do more shopping.

Back with Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth), he questioned Maxie’s motives for getting him to back off the ELQ shares. Maxie promised it wasn’t about helping Brook Lynn. She truly thought Austin was a good doctor and was glad to see him put his career first.

Maxie also found it difficult to be caught in the middle and didn’t like hearing Brook Lynn badmouth Austin.

This brought a smile to Austin’s face. Austin talked to Maxie about how much she impressed him when she gave birth as they shared a nice moment.

Brook Lynn did follow-up damage control in Valentin’s ICU room, but he was none the wiser about any baby drama. In fact, Valentin thought Brook Lynn was shaping up to be a positive role model for “Bailey.”

Brook Lynn eventually told Maxie about Gladys recording them at the restaurant recently. Maxie panicked over the truth about Louise falling into Gladys’ hands, but Brook Lynn insisted Gladys only knew Valentin wasn’t the father.

That still concerned Maxie, who felt it was just a hop, skip and a jump from the whole truth unraveling. Maxie was deeply troubled at the thought of Peter coming after Louise. She felt they had to do whatever it took to handle Gladys.

Back with Austin, he was curious about Gladys and Valentin’s connection. Gladys suggested she was fond of Valentin and didn’t want to see him get hurt.
