General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, October 18, reveals that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) shot Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) while Scott Baldwin’s (Kin Shriner) laptop spyware led to a Greece clue. Here’s how all the drama went down on Monday’s GH episode.
At the tavern in Greece, Robert Scoprio (Tristan Rogers) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) made it clear that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) weren’t going to the compound with them.
Sam was considered a liability due to her personal connection to Drew – and there were concerns about Dante being triggered again due to his PTSD.
After Anna had a WSB agent babysit the duo, Sam and Dante started working on him.
They tried their best to tug at the agent’s heartstrings since Sam was so determined to reunite Scout Cain (Ella Ramacieri) with her father. Dante asked if protocol was more important than family as he backed up Sam.
In his cell, Drew wanted help to beat the conditioning and turned to Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) for it.
Liesl advised Drew to focus on Scout to avoid being activated for another mission. She knew the bond between parent and child was awfully powerful.
Meanwhile, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) urged his guards to execute Peter, but he soon learned that Peter had made them a better offer. Even Russell turned on Victor, though he suggested he hated to betray his former boss.
On Peter’s orders, Victor was led to the room Valentin was being held in. There was talk about Victor and Valentin’s father-son connection before the alarm went off to signal that the place had been breached.
Peter left Valentin and Victor in the care of armed Russell, who turned down Valentin’s offer to double whatever Peter was offering him.
After Liesl was taken out of Drew’s cell, Peter showed up with another mission for him. Drew tackled Peter instead and wound up coming to Valentin’s rescue by shooting Russell in the leg.
Anna and Robert made their way to Drew’s empty cell while Dante and Sam cornered Victor as he tried to flee. Victor informed Sam and Dante that deranged Peter had betrayed him, but Sam was quick to ask about Drew’s whereabouts.
Back in Port Charles, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) summoned Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) to examine Scott’s computer.
Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) thought it was sweet that Scott had done Huntington’s disease research, but also proved to be a bad strategy since spyware on his laptop tracked all his keystrokes.
Spinelli couldn’t tell who was behind the spyware, but he traced the IP address to the island of Crete in Greece.
That let Spinelli, Britt, Jason and Scott know this was related to the Cassadines. Britt pointed out that Victor was Liesl’s former flame, so Jason said at least they knew where to look.
As Robert and Anna searched the property outside, Anna confirmed she wouldn’t shoot to kill if she found Peter. Robert piped up that he would indeed shoot to kill before Valentin and Drew appeared on the nearby bridge.
Unfortunately, Peter also popped up and shot Valentin. Drew returned fire, but he took some bullets of his own before plunging into the dark water below!
At The Savoy, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) told Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) about the apology letter that Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) sent her. Portia had already forgiven Stella, but the gesture meant a lot just the same.
Curtis’ knowledge of art impressed Portia, so he talked about Stella being the reason for it. Things were chaotic in Curtis’ childhood, but Stella planned lots of fun outings to museums and more.
Curtis explained that his father didn’t come home one day and that he was later informed of his dad’s heart attack. His mother struggled to cope with the grief, so Stella stepped up to look after the family. Nearby, a mysterious man watched Curtis interact with Portia.
General Hospital spoilers say this mystery guy will prove to be an important part of Curtis’ story, so stay tuned.
