General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, October 4 Recap – Dante Charms Dallas Kirby – Curtis Defends Nina to Raging Michael

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, October 4, reveals that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) charmed Dallas Kirby in Monte Carlo while Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) defended Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to raging Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).

At Wyndemere, Ava Jerome (Maura West) admitted to having a puzzling chat with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) before Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) urged her to come there. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) confessed the stalker truth – and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) added that Spencer had help.

However, Spencer once again argued that Esme was only acting on his orders. He talked about his anger over Ava’s betrayal and admitted it was a lot harder to hate her from overseas. Spencer hoped Ava and Nikolas would believe how sorry he was, but Ava wondered if maybe he was just sorry his plan failed.

Spencer begged for forgiveness, but Nikolas couldn’t give him that. Instead, he ordered Spencer out of the house and out of his life. After Spencer hightailed it out of Wyndemere, Nikolas assured Ava that Spencer was dead to him. Ava didn’t like that kind of talk and felt there was still hope for Nikolas’ relationship with Spencer down the road.

The drama at least brought some good news since a divorce was no longer necessary and Ava didn’t have to leave the country. Ava hinted that they should keep the fire going, so Nikolas happily threw their divorce papers into the flames.

At The Savoy, Esme left multiple messages urging Spencer to come celebrate with her. Curtis eventually called Esme out on her fake ID, confiscated it and sent her away. Esme wound up at Kelly’s, where Trina insisted Esme’s plan didn’t work.

Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) backed Trina up as they explained Spencer had confessed everything. Spencer came in and admitted he was thrown out of the house following his confession, but the conversation got too intense and sent him fleeing the restaurant.

When Trina caught up with Spencer, he expected her to let him have it. Despite how furious she was, Trina took a more compassionate approach and hated to see Spencer hurting. Spencer was just about to tell Trina something when Esme interrupted.

Once Esme was alone with Spencer, he suggested he could be cut off financially. Spencer was clearly feeling lost and uncertain of what to do next. Esme hugged Spencer and offered words of reassurance, but she looked rather worried over their plans being derailed.

Thanks to Josslyn, Michael and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) got updates on Nina knowing about Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) survival for months. Michael was livid, but Willow thought back to how Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) hid the truth about Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) being Nina’s daughter.

Although Willow thought Michael had every right to be angry, she suggested the situation wasn’t all that simple. Even so, Michael wanted to confront Nina and got a tip from Esme about Nina being at The Savoy.

Meanwhile, Nina found Curtis and brought him up to speed on the Sonny secret that had now blown up. Curtis understood what it was like to make mistakes and refused to turn his back on Nina as a friend. After Michael stormed in with Willow by his side, he ripped into Nina for keeping Sonny away from his family and forcing them all to grieve.

Michael started to leave with Willow once his outburst was over, but Curtis stopped him. He brought up how everyone makes mistakes they live to regret. Curtis also didn’t think it was right to punish Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Caleb and Kyler Ends) by keeping his other grandmother away from him.

Nina was grateful to Curtis for still being her friend and ultimately left – though she paused on her way out to think back to a kiss with Sonny. As for Willow, she pushed Michael to consider whether it was really in Wiley’s best interest to cut Nina out of his life.

In the Corinthos living room, Carly acted like retribution was Nina’s only motive for going after her. What Carly didn’t understand is why Sonny withheld the truth. She wanted to know why she had to hear about Nina’s secret from Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).

Sonny acted like he just wanted to put Nixon Falls in the rearview mirror and found out Carly nearly killed Nina before Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) stopped her. After Sonny persuaded Carly to focus on their relationship, they shared a passionate kiss.

Sonny hoped he wasn’t rushing things, but Carly felt they’d lost enough time and let her husband lead her up to the bedroom. GH fans then saw a framed photo of Carly, Sonny and Jason on the shelf.

At a casino in Monte Carlo, Dante and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) were all dressed up as part of their mission to get answers from Dallas Kirby, Shiloh Archer’s (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) former fixer. Sam suddenly urged Dante to kiss her before she shoved him off and threw a drink in his face.

That got the attention of Dallas and her handsome lackey, so Dallas sent Sam to cool off with the gentleman and turned her own attention to Dante. After plenty of flirting, Dallas invited Dante up to her room for scotch and a toast to new friends. Back with Sam, she followed them and crept up to Dallas’ door.
