General Hospital Spoilers: Nelle Reclaims Real Mommy Title from Willow – Returns from Dead, Gains Nina & Valentin as Allies?

General Hospital Spoilers: Nelle Reclaims Real Mommy Title from Willow – Returns from Dead, Gains Nina & Valentin as Allies?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the show could be putting the pieces in place for a big return. GH fans know there’s been a lot of talk about Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos’ (Erik and Theo Olson) “real mommy” lately.

After Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) tried to explain things to her grandson, it led to Wiley getting confused and telling Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) she wasn’t his real mommy.

Of course, Willow is the only mother Wiley’s ever known – and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) had already declared that Willow was Wiley’s “real mom” long before all this drama with Nina.

After Nina’s blunder, Michael once again assured Willow that she was Wiley’s mom, not Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier).

If Nelle were around, she’d certainly have a strong and very different opinion on that! Nelle gave birth to this child and did care about Wiley in her own twisted way. It’s not like Nelle fed Wiley to the wolves when she traded him on the side of the road.

Nelle knew Wiley would have a good life with Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) and Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes).

Although Nelle’s primary motive was making sure Wiley was kept away from Michael, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) at the rest of their family, she trusted Brad to take care of her baby. In fact, Nelle got a little too clingy and nosy for updates later on.

GH fans eventually saw Nelle with her vision board, which had a little boy wearing stylish clothes on it. It seemed like Nelle wanted to treat Wiley like a pet to dress up and play with.

Nelle didn’t love Wiley the way a mother should, but there was some level of caring going on.

When Wiley needed heart surgery, that brought a genuine moment from Nelle as well.

Nelle was concerned about Wiley potentially having lifelong health issues like she had following her own kidney transplant. Even Carly seemed to sense that Nelle meant what she said.

As Nina pointed out in the aftermath of finding out Nelle was her daughter, Nelle wasn’t intrinsically evil. There was the potential for Nelle to get on a better path – perhaps with the guidance of a loving mother like Nina.

If GH writers bring Nelle back into the picture, Nelle might end up reclaiming that “real mommy” title with Nina’s help.

After all, Nina has now been shut out of Wiley’s life and would understand Nelle’s perspective on that. It’s easy to see the possibility of a dynamic mother-daughter duo.

Since there’s been so much mom talk when it comes to Wiley, General Hospital really needs to bring Nelle back from the dead. Nina could work to help Nelle get off the hook for her crimes and try to get at least joint custody in a new court battle.

With Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) in Nina’s corner, some surprising things could happen.

GH just showed fans Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) body in the morgue, so why didn’t they show us Nelle’s morgue moment? We have to believe it was to leave room for doubt and that they’ll end up bringing Nelle back later.

Willow could use a fierce foe like Nelle to keep her interesting and relevant, so let’s hope for Nelle’s eventual return – just to shake things up! We’ll keep you posted as other GH news rolls in.
