General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) old feud with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will inevitably come roaring back. GH fans will recall how Nina and Willow fought back when Willow was Charlotte Cassadine’s (Scarlett Fernandez) teacher.
Nina was and still is quite protective of her former stepdaughter, but she found a way to make peace with Willow in the end.
However, the progress Nina and Willow made is destined to go right out the window. Nina now knows Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) was her biological daughter, which changes her whole perspective of Nelle and the custody battle with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
Nina feels like she blew Nelle’s shot at having a connection to Wiley Corinthos-Quartermaine (Erik and Theo Olson) and drove her daughter down the road that led to her death.
Naturally, Willow was a huge part of the custody drama since she married Michael to help strengthen his chances of defeating Nelle.
Willow also wants to adopt Wiley, and Michael has even declared her Wiley’s “real” mom. Nina surely isn’t going to like any of this!
After having her own daughter stolen from her, it’ll make Nina pretty sensitive to the fact that Willow’s trying to steal Nelle’s son – at least from Nina’s point of view.
Nelle may be gone, but Nina certainly won’t let it be forgotten that Nelle was Wiley’s “real” mom, not Willow as Michael claimed. Of course, Willow has a good heart and certainly loves Wiley as if he were her own.
Sometimes being a “real” mom is about more than biology, and we can’t forget that Nelle was the reason Willow got duped into thinking Wiley was hers to begin with.
Nevertheless, we also have to remember that Nina’s in a lot of pain and will be looking for ways to cope. It’s easier to deal with anger than it is to deal with grief and heartache.
Nina will be channeling her pain into rage against Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), Michael, Willow and anyone else who she feels made life harder for Nelle.
It’ll be Nina’s way of dealing with her guilt over not being able to help Nelle when she was alive. It seems likely Nina will go after custody or at least visitation based on upcoming General Hospital spoilers.
Nina may also try to pump the brakes on Willow’s adoption of Wiley and infuriate Willow in the process.
This will be a great chance to reignite Nina and Willow’s war. If Willow’s pushed to her breaking point, she may make it clear that Nina’s daughter was a menace who would’ve done serious damage to Wiley if she’d raised him.
Nina may vehemently disagree and feel like Nelle would’ve been a great mom with the right guidance – specifically Mama Nina’s guidance!
