General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that misunderstandings and regrets could drive Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to go too far. GH viewers know Nina was crushed when she realized Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) was her biological daughter.
Nina’s still trying to come to grips with the fact that Nelle’s gone, which means her chance to connect and help Nelle is long gone.
That’s why Nina’s so determined to insert herself in Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos’ (Erik and Theo Olson) life. Nina has a second chance through her grandchild and has no intention of letting this one pass her by. However, things are complicated for so many reasons.
Nina’s about to get the wrong idea about what went down on the cliff’s edge, where Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) failed to pull Nelle up to safety. That’s also where Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) urged Carly to lie to the cops and hide the fact that she was there when Nelle plummeted.
Since Nina will feel like Carly wanted Nelle dead, she won’t want Carly to get away with this. General Hospital fans will see Nina attacking the Corinthos family from several different angles since she’ll push for Carly’s arrest and perhaps cause drama over the mob war, too.
Nina’s bound to be concerned for Wiley’s safety as the conflict with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) ultimately escalates. That’s something Nina could use to her advantage in a custody case if it comes to that – and it certainly seems like Nina could have a courtroom battle in mind.
Nina has also been brought into Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) storyline through her phone chat with “Mike” and link to Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy).
How much do you want to bet that Nina will find out Sonny’s alive and hide the truth from Carly? It makes sense under the circumstances and will further infuriate the Corinthos clan.
When you add up all the chaos Nina’s going to be causing for an already stressed family, they won’t want to do her any favors. Nina’s adamant about forming a bond with Wiley and establishing a place in his life, but will she blow her opportunity?
By the end of all this, Carly and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) may argue that Nina should have nothing to do with Wiley! Nina might be forbidden from seeing her grandson since she’s going to be exhibiting so much Nelle-like behavior in the coming months.
Michael and Carly didn’t want Nelle around Wiley, so they may transfer that same rage to Nina in the aftermath of all the nightmares she causes.
In other words, Nina’s Wiley obsession could backfire and get her banned from the kid instead!
