General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) preliminary hearing will get underway, so Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) will begin his battle to keep his client out of jail. Unfortunately, Scott will fear the worst as he prepares for this hearing – and it’s never a good thing when your lawyer is worried!
During the week of December 20-24, Scott will deal with some concerns related to Nina’s fate. Although Scott’s willing to put in the work and fight hard for Nina, he’ll wonder if it’s going to be enough.
Scott may fret over a trial and jail time being inevitable with the powerful Corinthos clan involved. He might feel like Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and his posse aren’t going to play fair.
It wouldn’t be the first time an influential family threw money around to bribe a judge into sharing the same perspective.
Fortunately, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) isn’t going to do anything that might negatively affect the judge’s ruling on whether the case goes to trial.
Sonny won’t let Michael do anything like that either and will secretly be hoping Nina gets off the hook.
Nevertheless, Scott will get nervous over what’s going to happen once court is in session. He’ll face pressure from Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) to get Nina’s case thrown out, but that’ll be easier said than done!
Scott will hope he can convince the judge to see things his way, but he’s not the person in the best position to help Nina. That person would be Sonny, who’ll ultimately take the stand and admit to the judge that he doesn’t feel like the victim of a crime.
Sonny may play a crucial role in making sure Nina’s charges get dropped, so Michael and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) won’t be happy campers!
