General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the Novaks could retaliate with a Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) kidnapping. Did Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) put his wife in grave danger with that territory takeover?
GH fans know Sonny laid down the law after Joey Novak (Patrick Zeller) landed in the hospital. Sonny wasn’t the one who put Joey there, but he made it clear he could finish the job if Joey didn’t cooperate.
In exchange for letting Joey live, Sonny demanded the entire Novak family empire – though Joey warned his family wasn’t going to like this. Sonny argued that wasn’t his problem, but it just might be!
What kind of mob family would just sit back and let one stupid mistake from loudmouth Joey cost them everything?
If the Novaks don’t pursue some kind of revenge, we’re seriously going to roll our eyes at the GH writers.
Sonny wound up splitting the Novak territory with Ms. Nina Wu (Lydia Look) to thank her for saving Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) lives.
That could put the Wu family in the Novaks’ vengeful path as well, but let’s focus on Carly for a moment.
Carly was quick to assure Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) that the mob drama was over.
Carly argued that if Sonny said the situation had been handled, then it had been handled. Carly is trusting Sonny on this, but perhaps she’s putting a little too much faith in him.
GH spoilers say Carly will get tangled up in more mob mayhem down the road.
That could mean Sonny doesn’t have everything as squared away as he thought. It’d be a good idea to shake Sonny up and make him realize there are limits to his power.
The Novaks could launch a murder attempt on Carly, but a kidnapping makes more sense considering they could use her as a bargaining chip. It could serve as a way to get Sonny’s attention and force him to negotiate.
Sonny might consider reaching a new deal with the Novak clan to avoid another mob war, but there’s also the potential for Sonny to arrange a dramatic rescue and unleash his wrath on the Novaks like never before.
