General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) may be horrified when Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) come home in love! This protective mom could easily fight to break up this new Port Charles couple.
GH fans know Obrecht hated the idea of Britt working with Jason since she considered him a magnet for danger. You can bet Liesl will be even more concerned once she sees just how close Jason and Britt have gotten.
This relationship has become much more than an alliance. It’s safe to call Britt and Jason friends at this point, but it’s clear that they’re headed into romantic territory eventually.
Whether Jason and Britt get caught or finally come home willingly, they’ll definitely land back in Port Charles down the road.
Once that happens, it shouldn’t take long for Liesl to see Britt has fallen hard during her time on the run with Jason. After Britt found out about Obrecht and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) starting up a romance, Liesl hinted that perhaps Britt should do the same.
However, Obrecht certainly didn’t mean Britt should fall for Jason!
After Liesl realizes Jason has become a new love interest for Britt, she may plot to tear them apart. Obrecht might worry that Jason’s just going to drag Britt into even more danger and drama.
Obrecht may feel like Britt’s going to die if she stays tied to someone like Jason, who always seems to have a deadly target on his back.
It’d be fun to see Liesl plot to split Jason and Britt up, but we all know Britt doesn’t let anyone push her around. Britt would certainly fight back and try to put her manipulative mother in her place.
If Britt and Jason want to be together, they have every right to do so. Jason and Britt certainly won’t let Obrecht stand in their way if love indeed blooms as expected.
