General Hospital Spoilers: Peter Fakes Amnesia, Pretends to Be Changed Man After Staircase Fall & Head Injury?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) may fake amnesia and pretend to be a changed man after his staircase fall. Will Peter use his head injury to his advantage? If we know one thing about Peter, it’s that he’s manipulative to the core. Peter always finds a way to spin a tough situation and try to make it work in his favor.

We know Peter’s set to take a horrific tumble, which will lead to a serious blow to the head and plenty of blood pouring everywhere. However, General Hospital spoilers say Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) plan will press on.

There’s no way Maxie would go through with faking her baby’s death and duping everyone with such tragic news unless she still viewed Peter as a threat. That means Peter will survive, even if he’s stuck in a coma for a while.

What happens once Peter ultimately wakes up? This seems like the prime opportunity for Peter to resort to more manipulation and try to hit the reset button.

Of course, it’s also possible Peter will legitimately have amnesia, but it just makes sense for Peter to pretend considering who he is as a person and how he’s typically written. GH writers could even have some fun by not telling fans whether Peter’s amnesia was fake or real at first.

If Peter fakes full or partial memory loss, he could perhaps act horrified to hear about all the accusations against him and insist there must be some mistake.

We’ve seen “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) turn from a life of crime without his memories intact. Peter could do a phony version of that and act like he’s on a much better path in the aftermath of this head injury.

Perhaps Peter could seem contrite about any wrongdoings he pretends to not recall carrying out. Peter could argue that no matter what happened in the past, he’s a changed man and intends to make the most of this fresh start.

People like Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) would no doubt be wary, but Peter might insist he only wants a new beginning.

If Peter senses that Maxie is lying about their baby’s death, he might view fake amnesia and a changed man act as excellent ways to lower her guard. It could be part of a plot to pry the truth out of Maxie in the end.

Regardless, Peter’s story isn’t over yet – and that means Maxie should beware! As other GH updates emerge, we’ll keep you in the loop.

Maxie will do whatever it takes to keep Baby Louise safe, but she’ll have to watch out for Peter and his dangerous tricks. CDL will have other thrilling General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so stop by again soon.
