General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal there are major clues that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is NOT in that lab freezer, so let’s see how and when this villain might return.
For starters, we should think about the significance of where Peter was stashed and some of the dialogue that was included as part of the explanation.
After Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) found Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) outside the out-of-order service elevator, Anna offered a reminder about why it was originally constructed.
Anna mentioned it was done so that Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) could have access to this secret lab down beneath the hospital.
Of course, GH fans know that’s exactly where Liz and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) put Peter following what seemed to be a fatal fall in the stairwell. That brings us to another comment Anna made about the use of the lab.
Anna pointed out that more recently, Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) used it in her “demented attempt” when she thought that she could resurrect Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) using Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen).
Anna added that it was crazy and practically scoffed over the notion. “As if you could bring anyone back from the dead,” Anna said.
Naturally, that seems like a huge hint when supposedly dead Peter was stashed in the freezer of that very lab.
Anna basically spelled out that Peter would indeed be brought back from the dead one way or another. This lines up with the fact that Wes Ramsey still hasn’t commented on the end of his run.
It’s possible Peter wasn’t dead after all and was just unconscious when he was placed in that freezer.
If Peter eventually came to and somehow pushed his way out, he still could’ve bolted from the hospital. There’s even a chance someone came along and helped Peter score his freedom.
Even if Peter was really dead, are you ever really dead in the soap world? Peter was in a soapy lab where some mad science could’ve brought him back to life – at least with the right person to pull it off.
Regardless, we can’t ignore Anna’s dismissal of the idea about someone returning from the dead. It felt like the perfect setup for Peter to pop up alive at some point. As for when that might happen, it could take months.
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) have this secret baby plot going on, so GH may want to milk for a while. However, Liz and Finn might head back down to the lab and discover that Peter’s body is missing soon.
It could leave them baffled and concerned about Peter’s lingering threat!
