General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) may target Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) for revenge, so will Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) be put in a situation where he must rescue his former flame?
There are still some deep feelings shared between Jason and Britt, so the show doesn’t seem done with them yet.
That’s especially true since we know Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is alive and will inevitably reunite with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) down the road.
Carly and Jason aren’t meant to be a permanent couple, so it’s just a matter of time before Jason’s drifting back toward Britt.
Of course, GH has now offered confirmation that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is also alive – and that means Britt could be in grave danger.
As we’ve just seen with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and his own grudge against his siblings, family betrayals are hard to get past.
Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) has given Britt dire warnings about Peter and the potential for him to turn against his sister.
Britt tried to give Peter the benefit of the doubt and bond with him for quite some time. However, she can obviously no longer deny that Peter is a terrible menace to society.
Britt knows Peter deceived Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and set Jason up for Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) murder.
Peter is also aware that Britt hates his guts at this point and no doubt blames her for helping Jason go on the run.
Peter may also hold Britt responsible for sabotaging his second chance with Maxie, which he was hoping to get after the wedding blowup.
Since Peter may not be giving up on another opportunity with Maxie, he could have a motive to remove any potential naysayers who could stand in his way.
Plus, Peter is a vengeful man who may want Britt to suffer.
Peter might take a page out of Cyrus’ playbook and decide he wants his sister dead – just like Cyrus now wants Laura Collins (Genie Francis) dead along with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight).
Obrecht will go missing during the week of August 30-September 3, so that could be linked to Peter.
If Britt digs too deep and makes risky connections, that’d serve as another motive for Peter to hunt her down and silence her.
Bottom line, Liesl has been worried about the possibility of Peter going after Britt, so we have to consider the idea that her fears are warranted.
