General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Phyllis Caulfield’s (Joyce Guy) painful memory could turn into a brand-new story that affects the future of Port Charles. GH fans will recall how Phyllis opened up to “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) about the daughter she lost.
Phyllis and Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) had a baby girl who only survived a few days, so it really took a toll on them emotionally.
By the time Lenny and Phyllis had recovered enough to think about having children again, it was too late. Phyllis and Lenny’s window of opportunity had passed. Of course, this was an interesting story for Phyllis to suddenly reveal.
It could be far more than a memory to make fans sympathetic. Most of the time on soaps, stories like that are told for a reason!
Since Phyllis was caught up in illegal adoption drama in the past, who’s to say someone didn’t snatch her baby, too? What if Phyllis was only led to believe her baby died? If Phyllis’ child actually survived, perhaps she could still be reunited with her.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) might even figure out some clues and help out with that task.
Although Nina wasn’t able to form a mother-daughter bond with Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier), perhaps there’s still a chance for Phyllis and Lenny to know their daughter. The same goes for any grandkids this couple might have.
If Lenny and Phyllis’ baby girl indeed survived before a snatching, then she’d be all grown up now. We should consider who might be revealed as Phyllis and Lenny’s mystery daughter down the road.
Could it be Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr)? It’d be great if Lenny and Phyllis could eventually bond with Portia as well as their potential granddaughter, Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla).
Maybe Sonny could even play a role in nailing down some answers for this couple. It’d be nice if Sonny could repay Phyllis and Lenny for all the kindness they’ve shown him.
Even after Sonny inevitably gets his memory back, he’ll be forever grateful to the Caulfields for helping him when he needed it most.
General Hospital could even tie this in with Portia and Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) current storyline. Curtis is buying a nightclub to run – and Phyllis mentioned how there was no one to leave The Tan-O to once she died along with Lenny.
Perhaps Portia could inherit the bar and hire someone to run it when the time comes. It’d be something intriguing for Portia and Curtis to talk about considering his new career path.
