General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that there’s one return that’s desperately needed on canvas right about now, Hayden Barnes’ (Rebecca Budig). Hamilton Finn’s (Michael Easton) world was thrown into turmoil due to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) lies – and now the paternity test results for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) have delivered another major blow.
Finn’s relationship was seemingly broken beyond repair since he can’t get on the same page with Anna, so they shared a tearful goodbye. Plus, Finn’s bond with Chase took a serious hit – and even the progress Finn had made with Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) has been ruined.
Although Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) tampered with the paternity test results and should get caught eventually, Finn still needs support. Someone should really come along and pick up the pieces of Finn’s shattered life.
Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) would be the perfect choice since she’s Finn’s former flame and Violet Finn’s (Jophielle Love) mother. GH fans know Violet was crushed over Finn’s wedding to Anna not happening, but she might forget all about that if her mommy came home.
Violet could easily start rooting for Finn and Hayden to get back together – and Finn might even root for that, too.
There’s not a chance Hayden has been staying away willingly all this time. Hayden clearly ran into some trouble after Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) convinced her there was legitimate danger and forced her into hiding.
That’s yet another reason for Hayden to wiggle out of that trouble, reenter the picture and seek revenge on Nikolas.
The timing would be ideal considering Nikolas and Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) are set to be married for real. Maybe there could even be a twist that reveals Hayden is still legally married to Nikolas.
Or perhaps Hayden could work with Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) on his apparent plot against the “Nava” marriage.
Whatever the case, General Hospital spoilers suggest there would be plenty of ways for Hayden to get involved in the story again, especially now that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) is grieving the loss of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).
Liz could certainly use some good news about her half-sister’s return and a shoulder to cry with Hayden back in town. Elizabeth and her boys would love having Hayden’s support during this difficult time, so it’d be great to see Hayden around again.
