General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may cheat with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and finally surrender to what he feels after a Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) fight and the fallout of what happens in court.
Sonny and Nina’s Nixon Falls romance will be exposed, but that won’t be the only reason Carly gets enraged.
Carly will also have to listen to Sonny defend Nina on the stand and admit he doesn’t feel like the victim of a crime.
Since Carly and her loved ones spent months grieving for Sonny, it’ll hit her hard when he defends Nina and basically acts like he enjoyed their bond.
Sonny’s feelings for Nina are complicated, but he’ll try to smooth things over with Carly as best as he can.
Sonny might even try to compare his situation to Carly’s complex marriage situation with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), but that plan may not go over well.
Carly may lash out if Sonny tries that strategy, especially since she already came clean about all that while Sonny stayed silent about Nina.
The fact that Sonny lied will let Carly know he cares deeply for Nina and is perhaps still in love with her.
Sonny will want to work on his marriage in the aftermath of the courtroom blowup, but Carly’s definitely going to struggle with all this. There won’t be a quick fix, so Sonny could stray to Nina’s bedroom soon enough.
Since there’ll be no more secrets to hold Nina and Sonny back, that could lead to them caving in when it comes to their mutual pining.
Sonny has been wrestling with his feelings for Nina for a while now – and once Carly pushes him away, she might push him right into bed with Nina!
This could easily create a new secret for Nina and Sonny to keep as GH heads into the new year. Sonny and Nina’s connection is undeniable, so it’s probably about time for them to do something about it.
Although Sonny wouldn’t have been to blame if he took the steamy plunge with Nina as “Mike,” he’ll certainly be to blame if he cheats on Carly with all his memories intact.
Perhaps that was the point of not letting amnesiac Sonny go all the way with Nina in Nixon Falls.
If Sonny sleeps with Nina now, he’ll be making a conscious choice to betray his wife. Something tells us Sonny and Carly’s marriage woes will get worse before they get better, so stay tuned for more drama!
