General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that many fans are waiting on the epic moment when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) finally returns home. Sonny has no memory of who he really is and has been going by the name “Mike” since he was wearing Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) watch when he was found.
Although amnesiac Sonny will grow to like the new life he’s building, he obviously can’t stay in the dark about his real identity forever. Sooner or later, the memory floodgates will have to open and clue Sonny in on where he belongs.
There’ll be some twists and delays before that happens, but Sonny should eventually find himself walking through the door of his own home – finally ready to reunite with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).
That’s what GH writers are truly building toward here: Sonny and Carly’s long-awaited reunion.
Could there be another twist on Carly’s end that further delays that step? As Sonny’s memorial service winds down, General Hospital spoilers say Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will unleash her fury on Carly and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher).
After overhearing Carly’s incriminating comments about Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) cliff fall, Nina will be absolutely livid.
General Hospital spoilers say Nina will be convinced that Nelle’s dead because of Carly – and that Jax helped his former flame cover up her daughter’s murder. Later, Nina will corner Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) and push for assistance.
It sounds like Nina will demand Carly’s arrest, but the best Jordan can do is call up the authorities on the now infamous Pennsylvania side of the river. GH fans know Carly was relieved once this became a closed case, but Nina might succeed in getting it reopened.
Once that happens, Carly certainly isn’t guaranteed to stay a free woman!
Carly isn’t to blame for Nelle’s fall and actually tried to pull Nelle up from the cliff’s edge. However, Carly is guilty of lying to the cops repeatedly. It’s going to look suspicious – and we all know justice often isn’t fair on General Hospital.
Back when pregnant Nelle fell down at the stairs at the Quartermaine mansion, she succeeded in getting Carly locked up at Ferncliff. There’s quite a history between Nelle and Carly – one that will inevitably work to Nina’s advantage.
With Nina fighting so fiercely and the cops so eager to incarcerate a Corinthos, Carly just might land behind bars. We should mention that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has a prison storyline coming up, so the Pentonville set will be right there and waiting.
It might be fun if Carly gets locked up as well and interacts with Alexis.
Regardless, Carly may be gearing up for a legal battle that she’ll ultimately lose. Will Carly be sent to prison – perhaps just in time for Sonny’s return home? Imagine “Mike” finally remembering he’s Sonny and rushing home to find that Carly’s now an inmate!
It’d be a soapy way to keep Sonny and Carly apart a bit longer, but Sonny would do everything in his power to free his wife.
