General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) just might crash Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) wedding. Will Sonny come looking for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and find the mystery blonde from his dreams?
GH fans know Jason and Carly have decided to tie the knot due to the difficult mob situation.
This isn’t what either one of them wants, but they’re doing what they have to do. The goal is to show there’s no power struggle and convince their enemies that they’ve come together as one.
This marriage will certainly send a powerful message if it actually happens, but could Carly’s presumed dead husband interrupt her new nuptials? We have to consider the timing of all this.
Jason and Carly will be gearing up to wed right as “Mike” aka Sonny faces added pressure to visit Port Charles.
Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) has seen the connection between Sonny and Nina firsthand, so she won’t want them to let that slip through their fingers.
Nina recently called “Mike” to say she missed him, so Phyllis may argue that’s a good sign. She’ll think Nina would really appreciate it if Sonny made the effort and surprised her in Port Charles.
However, Sonny will wait for Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) to get back during the week of July 12-16.
That makes it sound like Sonny will want to be certain Lenny’s well enough to leave behind due to that bad ticker of his.
Lenny might return from the clinic with some positive updates and convince Sonny they’ll be fine without him for a few days.
Phyllis will also have a warning to pass along that involves protecting Nina. Doesn’t it sound like Phyllis will give Sonny some final words of wisdom before he borrows the car she offered and leaves for PC?
It’s easy to imagine Phyllis offering a gentle reminder that Nina is her friend and has already been unlucky in love. Phyllis may urge “Mike” not to blow this before he heads on his way.
Bottom line, the hints are intensifying about Sonny’s return to Port Charles while Jason and Carly are almost ready to get married.
How soapy would it be for Sonny to inadvertently stumble upon the ceremony and give everyone a huge shock – especially Carly and Jason as the bride and groom?
